I think it was this website (I could be wrong), but i remember someone posting that they had a 4-pack of Navaja in a single night. Next day wasn’t as pleasant...

It's not my preference, but it doesn't detract from my enjoyment. I'd just prefer to enjoy it on two separate occasions with two 12-oz bottles.

I've seen a person after this. Wasn't pretty the next day. Wasn't even pretty the same day after the 4-pack kicked in.

About a year or so ago I solo domed a Black Tuesday 2016. That's a 25oz bottle of 20.3% abv BBA beer.

I basically drank it, and promptly passed out.

I'm the same way 95% of the time. Ever tried one of those little windle stopper/pumps? They're pretty awesome.

Anyone had the new canning of Special Sauce Mosaic? If so, I’ d love to hear your thoughts before I say what I’m going to say

    Sure, I will bite.

I thought it was a very solid beer from the front end to finish. It reminded me of why I was originally drawn to Mikerphone.

A lot of their beers started to taste the same to me, but this one stood out.

I also picked up Mikerphone solo and I was also very impressed with this one too.

These are my first 2 Mikerphone beers from Mikerphone that I have had in the can, and I must say, their beer is quite enjoyable in the can. :astonished::rolling_eyes::sunglasses:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Ok, so I really like the beer a lot. I wanted to feel out someone else’s thoughts before saying it but I swear this version of Special Sauce is using orange peel/zest. Thoughts?

I’ve heard this before regarding Mikerphone, so you may not be wrong.

It’s decent... bordered on tasting like an orange scented cleaning product, like that orange bottle of Goo Off

I don’t know, I can totally see it but would hope something like that would be advertised. My first can was the most orange forward “non-adjunct” beer I’ve ever had. It was orange juice and candied orange from start to finish. My second can after a few days was more tropical, reminded me of Hawaiian Punch. It did a much better job of this and wasnt as cloying as the recent Pipeworks Punch In Punch Out. This recent batch of Special Sauce is awesome and I’m thrilled I still have two cans. Kinda disappointing though If they are adding fruit peel and marketing it as a hop only beer.

I Can Brew For Miles is ok, regret buying an entire 4-pack. It nails what they are going for but the banana has a medicine vibe that throws it off. Hoping this mellows a bit in the next week or two.

Mikerphone Solo is awesome. Great mouthfeel and flavor for being a lower ABV IPA. I would buy this all day.

Service Friday was seamless. Got in and out. I was able to grab two bottles of Icky Thump, might open one today if I can convince my wife to help.

Yeah SS is definitely a good tasting beer. But you certainly would not expect a fruit adjunct in it. I’ll try it again on a fresh palate this week.

I opened by BA Icky last night. It was pretty good with lots of coffee and good mouthfeel. I didn’t detect much barrel, even when fully warmed up. I think there’s a note of that unwanted green pepper flavor but it’s not a major problem right now. I would store these cold and drink them soon.

The vacuum pump or the CO2 pump? I feel like a vacuum pump would prevent oxidation, but it would pull all of the CO2 out of the beer and leave it completely flat. That's just guessing though - do they actually work?

I have thought about buying one of those 32oz CO2 pressurized UKeg growlers and dumping a 750mL bottle in to see how it kept the quality up. Pretty expensive experiment though.

I've never heard of Mikerphone putting any adjunct additives into a beer that weren't listed on the label. They are usually pretty transparent about everything.

Does style of beer matter for this? I have one of those wine vacs too though people on BA recommended I go with the mason jar for a sour (with a fair amount of carbonation)

It absolutely does not. This was a game changer for me because I rarely want to consume 22 or 25 oz of BA beer, and my wife does not like BA beer (this cuts both ways). I can have an 11 or 12 oz pour, then finish the other half the next night. Sometimes it even tastes better.

Not sure. I've used it strictly for BA stouts and barleys. I'm not the person to ask about sours in general.

Meh it’s ok. It fits 12 oz / 22 oz / 500 ml bottles. Still loss of carb and oxidation, especially if you wait more than 24 hours to finish the bottle. It doesn’t fit 750 ml bottles.
