Have a good Friday. Been up all night playing Borderlands 2 and listening to Tool for 5 hours. Currently on my 4th run through Fear Inoculum. Might be my favorite album from them TBH. Definitely a world class record. I went to Speedway at 1 AM to get some Diet Mountain Dew liters, and some energy drinks. 7 Eleven was closed, oddly enough. Currently on the “Rescue Roland” mission, I did all the side quests leading up to it, so I am halfway to level 15 right now. Been adjusting my arsenal and shields as I go. Keep finding better stuff, and selling off the junk. I need to find more Class Mods, my current one increases reload speed and magazine size.

Founders 4 Giants. Amazing DIPA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew, watermelon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness. on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 9.2%. They claim 7 hop varieties on the website, I already knew what to expect going in. Feels like mostly Centennial, Columbus, Amarillo, Simcoe, and El Dorado. Very vibrant, juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized bready Munich malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Another top tier classic tasting DIPA.

Good day BAs! Looks like a chilly rainless morning here in NW PA, at least rainless for a while. Going to pick up Chinese for lunch and go to my son's place where we'll start the next remodeling project, at least as far as moving furniture and planning.

Looks like a slow morning here. During last night’s virtual beer club (nice to “meet” you, @jzeilinger), I realized that yesterday was the fourth anniversary of my first Dark Lord Day. But unfortunately, I do not have any 2016 bottles left. So I am starting my last day of the work week with this coffee beer.

    Good morning.
Gotta post and ghost (I think I mean it this time?).
One quality beer, a Pliny the E (for good reason, see below) and then work, jog this afternoon and a familial pre-traditional-Derby-Day party.
Also, our oldest, Chuy is 16 today. We use May Day as the "rough date" since he was a rescue shelter cat from Florida days and we don't know his birth date exactly. Cheers!

Weldwerks Key Lime Pie Berliner. Awesome. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy key limes, lemon, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, graham cracker, white bread dough malts; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness; light citrus peel/zesty bitterness and spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/grainy wheat/lactose, lactic acid, and fruit tang/zests in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/zesty dryness; no pucker/astringency. Very smooth, pretty refreshing, not overly lactic, zero warming 4.2%. Awesome balance of big juicy/vibrant key limes, vanilla, lactose, graham cracker, and lacto complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. Really big fan!

Morning! Just packed up a beer box (gonna test the limits of the "If it fits, it ships!" slogan), getting the oven ready for some lunch-time pizza, and enjoying my last Reve Coffee Stout.

Just a couple drops of vanilla added, because why not? Nothing overpowering, just a little depth and nuance to an already delicious brew.

Cheers, BAs - oh, and horns up!!! \m/

How is that Hornswoggler? I have had three different Hornswogglers over the years and thought two of the three were excellent. The third just mediocre.

Just about 9a here (yes, I'm posting near 9:30... had to finish the fight).

More Monster Hunter World action, and hard to get a good beer shot when Barroth is charging at me.

Cellarmaker Turok Juice, a 7.3% IPA hopped with 2 different lots of Mosaic. Canned 4/27. The result is a pleasant assortment of honeydew, mango, and even peach. I am not the biggest fan of Mosaic in hop blends, but when it's a single hop beer? Mosaic may possibly be my favorite.

    Happy Friday, all!

I'm having a Southern Tier Lake Shore Fog. It's billed as a hazy & juicy IPA right on the can. It is in fact hazy & juicy as hell. On the nose, it is sweet & full of tropical juices. Pineapple, papaya, mango. Orange, grapefruit & peach are there as well. The taste follows the nose. Pineapple, grapefruit, papaya mango & orange. A juicy fruit bomb.
