I actually snagged a bottle yesterday too so I'll provide a review in the next couple days. Honestly though it's been ages since I had it so who knows what I remember from it.

Dreadnaught is probably my favorite beer; but I was worried because the abv is different. I figured that meant the recipe is tweaked but I thought it tasted similar enough that I did not notice a difference. I will be picking up a few more four-packs, at $14...a steal. Insanely hoppy and flavorful.

Heading out shortly to pick some up. I hadn’t had APW in a while, so that was refreshing. But I often get a pour of Dread when I stop in. So I’ll try to report back after I have one tonight.

I bought a single and the bottle didn't have the ABV listed on the label. I thought that was Keeping Together's shtick.

It's listed as 9.5% on this site and elsewhere, what is the ABV for the April release?

Glad I bought a single, as it was good but rather spend the money on Founders 4 Giants or other pours.

Can't say I remember exactly how this used to taste but did really like the bottle I had last night. Good malt presence, lovely hop flavor.

If anything the big difference I noticed was the color, it looked a lot more coppery than I reall. Still, great beer.

I also had a bottle last night. I still remember the first time I had it, probably 15 years ago, on tap at fff. I remember it was described on the menu as “tongue bruising”.
I do agree about the color being more copper than I remember, but it has been a few years since I’ve had it. It is good to have an Imperial IPA with a nice malty backbone. I hope these imperial four packs become a more regular part of the rotation

I had Dreadnaught last night while I was grilling out. I can’t say how much the beer has changed but my perception has for sure. When I first had it, I had little experience with beers at that ABV and I thought it was a hop bomb. While it’s certainly still very hoppy, the malt and bitterness jump out much more to me now. That’s likely due to what I’m used to drinking now. I think that when I now have IPA’s with a healthy amount of malt presence, I like it in the lower abv beers like Alpha King. In any case, I like the format change and am excited to revisit War Mullet and Permanent Funeral later this year

Thanks, it wasn't on the beer order page but I found it.

Also noticed the IBU is reported at 75, whereas I've seen it at 100 or 89 in other places online. This could be another reason why this version seems different. When I had it yesterday, I thought "This sure doesn't taste like an 100 IBU pour".

I had my first bottle last night, and it is definitely a little different than the last few draft pours I’ve had. Granted, I had a few beers before it, so I’ll try another on a cleaner palate tonight. But it’s definitely more copper in color and slightly maltier than I remember. And the hops aren’t as in your face. It’s more like an imperial Alpha King (which is just fine by me), but it’s very different than the last APW release. They used to be much closer recipes, just with different hop profiles.

I actually drove to fff today to pick some up but thought they were closed so drove to a liquor store in Lansing that had it for $13. Of course it has tax unlike the brewery but I always thought three Floyd's takeout was rock bottom as far as pricing goes. Sure glad they're doing 4 packs for $14 instead of bombers for $10. Much better value and not forced to drink entire bomber in one sitting. Apparently fff has beef jerky now? Guess who's going back soon?

The brewpub is doing online orders only for curbside pickup. And can confirm the jerky - but haven’t purchased any for curbside (yet). Which liquor store in Lansing? And did they have a good beer selection?

I thought it was a bit maltier than I remember it. However, I’ve had it so intermittently over the years that my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.
Edit: After reading the other posts, I agree that the color was more copper than I remember as well. Make no mistake about my comments, it’s an awesome beer.

Dreadnaught has always been maltier than APW.

Santori and yes it's probably the best liquor store in the area as far as craft beer that you can actually still walk into. There is an entire wall all refrigerated full of craft

Based on pictures on google image search it’s hard to tell how many times this beer has changed. It see so many different versions of this beer, and it’s to be a spectrum to chalk it up to just lighting.

Do we think the FFF Hand Sanitizer sold out because it was 3 Floyds or because it was hand sanitizer?

I was about to make a crack, but then I remembered I checked in and rated a FFF canned water this time last year

Drinking a Dreadnaught right now. That is not the same beer it used to be. No way, no how.

That said, it’s current iteration is fantastic. Old School big, boozy, sweet, and bitter. Not nearly as citrusy as it used to be...and the appearance is completely different. I love it though. Reminds me a bit of Hop JuJu...
