It don’t think it’s California’s fault people are hyping their beers.
California has a long rich history of good breweries. Plus mathematically there’s a lot more people and breweries than other states(I think).
It seems like some of this east coast/Midwest stuff is more hyped in general. TG, SP, HF, Treehouse, GI, AC etc...

Coffee beers in general don't age well and why should they? If Mostra Tones is tasting well and is coffee heavy then why age it? The only reason I see to age BA beers is because they are too hot at the moment and hopefully age will temper down the booze.

I don't have this beer and if I did I would drink it fresh. I agree that straight up coffee stouts don't age well but the ba varieties seem to hold up better. My intellectual curiosity is whether this beer degrades but the hype holds.

What's the recent bottling of elijah craig 18yr going for? I notice the retail price but then looking at some trades involving beer confuses me

Ratio wise you can probably get 2 Vanilla Jammy with a small plus for 1 Maman if that gives you perspective. The Casey/SP collabs seem to trade much higher than any other Casey. Same with the DeGarde/SP collabs. Good luck

FT: Alpine Beer Co. Briscoe - gold foil intact, but label is a little worn.

Wondering if this has trade value with regards to Lost Abbey sours, SARA saisons or Modern Times stouts...I apologize if this is vague, but I really know very little about this beer. Bottle was purchased from Toronado. Thanks!

I’m interested in one each of the Assassins from this year’s release. So one regular, one coconut and one vanilla. Could I pull that down with a DBBCBS and white wax BM?

Yea. I’m not to sure on the black magic, but not sure a DBBCBS could pull in even regular assassin.

For Machfive55 my intention is to lead with TG X and 2020 nilerzzzzz when I get it and probably a + just for VB and coconut assassin.

What have you noticed exactly? I’ve seen lots of places around NorCal getting some in, it goes quick. Probably why it’s showing up more.

In CA it gets past $200 however the places that were close to retail or slightly above sell out quick

They sellout quick in Washington. At stores they range in prices from retail to ~$220. In a PNW bourbon group the secondary is in the range of $180 -$200.

Does that retail include the tax or is it plus tax? Crazy how much they charge.

Tax would be in addition, so looking at a minimum of ~$180 OTD.
