First time in a while Beachwood cans have landed in Vegas. Any recommendations from this batch of what to pick between Thrillseeker, Super Citrus, Amalgamator and Citraholic? I have not had Thrillseeker or Super Citrus before.

Realize this is a WCIPA thread but also any views on Fog Factor?

I would get Thrillseeker and Amalgamator. As for Fog Factor, I think it's pretty good! But I would still go With the other two

My Bud from Henderson shot me a photo of his “surprise” Beachwood can pick up at Speede Mart. Heard Khourys got it too. Good for Nevada.

Stay Lost is very good. Reminiscent of Radiant Beauty but turned up a notch. Has that signature dialed in water profile that traces it roots back to the showers series.

Do breweries purify the water before brewing? And do Orange and Anaheim have different sources? I recall reading on Blinking Owl’s website (a distillery in Santa Ana), that Santa Ana had the third best rated tap water in the US. I do enjoy their spirits. Cheers.

I had Super Citrus last night and it was a grapefruit bomb! Loved it.

Evan was on a podcast a few years ago and talked about the importance of water. Pretty sure he uses reverse osmosis as a base then adds specific minerals back in to achieve harmony and balance for each recipe.

IIRC he spends as much or more time on water profile than anything else.

My brother bought a 6 pack of Nelson, so like Michael Phelps, i decided to dive in. In no way is it near OG Nelson, but it’s still pretty citrusy and enjoyable. I wouldn’t buy it on my own. But again, I’m not complaining.

Yes. This one is good as most of GC’s west coast. And just a tad over 9%.

Really liked the Nelson! Nelson! from Harland, and now this Mosaic! Mosaic! is pretty solid too. I have no damn clue how to actually describe Mosaic. I’m not a hop head. But give it a go, my BA brothers!

Earth Thirst from eel river is on shelves now. I don't know how far spread their distro is but this is my favorite beer from them and its a big old.classic.WC.dipa. was always decent when in bombers but since they switched it to cans (which I think coincided with a new brewer) it's been a real pleasure to drink

    Indeed they do.

Orange has a reverse osmosis water system and Costa Mesa does not (but CM water makes outstanding stouts!).

Had Beachwood Amalgamator and Thrillseeker today. It’s been a Couple months since draining a few Riip, Burgeon and El Segundo WCIPAs. These are both very solid. Enjoying both. Thrillseeker especially as it warms up tasting nice.

Holy shit, thanks for reminding me about Aroma Coma! That was one of my early favorites. I remember how exciting it was to see fresh bottles come out. A lots changed since then. I, too, have not had Drake's in ages.

I had Denog the other day, pretty fresh, and it was spectacularly awful.

Split a Moonlight mix pack with a friend. Delhi by Dinghy is a very nice WC IPA. Nothing excitingly crazy, but just damn solid. Moonlight is so damn underrated to me. I wish they got more love.

It's nice to see the love for wcipa in this thread. I'm hoping for a resurgence of big citrusy, piney, bitter wcipa.

In my fridge right now: Moonlight Bombay by boat (so old school!), Henhouse ipa, Pupil (a case of cans shipped from the brewery), and Hop Valley Alphadelic.

When I'm feeling nostalgic I buy some Anderson Valley IPA and wonder if it really used to be hoppier or if my palate is just worn out.
