Haha. I had the same thought at first.

Oh, is "save for future pickup" an option? Hmm ... Well, apparently I need to investigate.

Edit: Figured it out. It was well-hidden on top there. Cool move by Tributary. Pick up some time in the next six months. Looks like I should start daydreaming of a Freeport to Portland to Kittery drive in the nice weather for lobster rolls and visiting beer friends.

So to be clear, I'm not saying there isn't a lot to bring people to the area. Kittery itself has a lot to offer. I go to Portsmouth and Ogunquit a ton. Most of those trips are family oriented and I'll stop at some place like SoMe or Hidden Cove because they are basically on the way. We don't spend a ton of time in Kittery so I just mean there isn't a lot for ME (the pronoun not Maine  ).

So if I was going to go just for a beer trip I'd still head up to Portland over Kittery at the moment. I should have made it more clear that it was specifically around stuff that would make me personally go out of my way.

You deleted your original post which, if I recall correctly, said “Give me Portland or give me death. Which would still be better than drinking in that god forsaken hell hole known as Kittery.”

I had a few beers, so I may have misread it.

They posted on Instagram that more than 90% of the bottles have been ordered. If anyone is looking to make an order, don’t hesitate.

I had the Fall version (b10) when it was released (on tap and in bottle) then again a few months later.

what’s everyone’s experience with verticals of this beer? I have b-10 bottle down in the basement. I might hold onto that, one of the b-11, and then do a three-batch vertical.

pssst .... this was so easy to do that I kinda miss the ktg scratch tix

For those of you afraid to drive to Kittery from Massachusetts - don't be. We have running water, 24/7 electricity, etc. - just like you do. I routinely cross both borders multiple times per week. Nobody will stop you. ME and NH both know where their bread is buttered, and are both happy to siphon as much MA $$ as you care to leave up here. There are no police at borders, no checkpoints. Kittery is suburban Boston; once we're back to normal, hundreds of vehicles with Maine plates make their way into Massachusetts every work day. Both states don't want COVID carriers up here to infect the locals, but they do want you up here long enough to leave some sweet, sweet Masshole cash.

Damn. Telling it like it is. I feel like a guy who was just told by his beautiful wife that she only married him for his money.

Granted it's just one article, and could very well be media spin and you're right, but that's not the sense that I got.

    https://www.boston.com/news/coronavirus/2020/05/04/new-hampshire-coronavirus-massachusetts

ME and NH have exponentially less cases than MA. I'm sure there's some people who don't want people from MA coming up there and getting out at gas stations and stores...etc.

Sure there's money to be made, but how much? It's not like everything's open...

I have a five-year-old and a four-year-old, both frustrated about not being around friends at school. They have their good days, their bad days. I have a 6-week-old, born at the beginning of the stay-at-home mandate in Massachusetts. The weather has been shitty. We're bored. We're at each other's throats.

My point: THERE'S NO ONE IN THE WORLD WHO WANTS TO DRIVE AS FAR AWAY AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE AS ME.

But I don't. It's not that hard. Is there a difference between me driving 45 minutes to Notch or 45 minutes to Kittery? Probably not. But I'd rather not be a dick. I'd rather not increase any risk by any percentage.

I live in Boston and work in a small satellite office downtown. But my company is based in Portsmouth. As we’re charting out a reopening plan I asked if there was a plan for Boston people to work from NH since that office will open first. I got a resounding no that the NH office doesn’t want any Boston people driving up anytime soon.

As a side note to the conversation above regarding travel into ME. My parents rent a beach house every year on OOB. This would have been my 43rd consecutive year in the place (my mothers 70 plus consecutive year0.

The rental agency cancelled their reservations for the summer and my parents were refunded yesterday.

Reservation was for the last two full weeks of July. I am not sure if they cancelled for only out of state guests or all reservations.

I'll be more upset if my Airbnb in Portland for share/beercation gets cancelled! Got like 8 BA's flying/driving up.

Well, I've been to 34 straight Oktoberfest celebrations in Munich, but it's canceled for this year. But, by my reckoning, THEY canceled and there is no Fest, so I'm not missing anything. The streak WILL continue in 2021, God willing.... Prosit!!
