I know! I had the last classes of my two seminars today and they went wonderfully. Now I am having a SARA to decant.

Now that Lagunitas Sucks is gone, maybe Maximus?

I dunno. I prefer Pliny in that category, but I lean more toward hops than malt.

 

First beer that came to my mind was Gubna from Oskar Blues but I haven't seen it in awhile.

 

get whatever is freshest, Beachwood is solid AF, but I feel it falls pretty hard after a month.

 

I wouldn't go as far to call it "malty", but Mongo still fucks. Super underrated beer in these times.

Fall just released a more malt forward old school style IPA called The Vulture. I think it is a brewery only release though.

 

has anyone tried bottle logic's wcipas that have come out recently? a local spot near me has started getting more cans from them (Charisma/dexterity check and order of combat) and was wondering if they were worth a try.

 

Mongo was a good suggestion. If you're in NorCal, Heretic Evil Cousin is a nicely balanced dipa to my taste. A tad sweet.

 

All the ones I’ve had are all good. I stayed away from BL after a year and half after they opened. Since Corona I’ve been getting back into their IPA’s. Haven’t had them all, but the ones I’ve had were all good. I’d def buy more BL cans.

 

It varies every year on maltyness but Mother Earth just released Big Mother.

 

Some of y’all wanting malty IPAs are some odd ************s, I tell ya.

 

It's not my default, but sometimes something like Permanent Funeral just scratches that itch.

 

Those guys know their way around a malty balanced ipa. I had some of the recent dreadnaught and it was really good. Hopefully they’ll release permanent funeral in the next couple months.
