Tomorrow, 5/19 at noon, we have a brand new stout collaboration with @southerngristbrewing available and with a second batch of our whiskey collaboration with @taconic_distillery via curbside pickup.

Coconut Pistachio Cheesecake Imperial Stout (14%) with @southerngristbrewing in Nashville. Brewed with Coconut, Toasted Coconut, Pistachios, Tahitian Vanilla, Graham Crackers and Cream Cheese. $16 per bottle.

We will also have a limited number available for home delivery for our next 3 delivery zones. If you ordered the surprise stout collaboration for Tuesday delivery, this is it!

This is from a second barrel we hand selected for its rich, bold, and smooth character. This Other Half exclusive whiskey is barrel proof, unfiltered, maple syrup cask finished bourbon that's aged for three years. This is the same high rye recipe that earned Taconic a 92.5 rating in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible. 100% NY State ingredients. 115 proof, 750ml, $80 a bottle. Available for delivery and curbside pickup.

Also if you read this far down we have a special surprise, LAGER! Available tomorrow, Tuesday at noon:

Poetry Snaps Rice Lager (4.5%) A rice lager in the Japanese style with pils malt and rice plus a beautiful blend of some of our favorite European hops, Czech Saaz and German Saphir. Dry and crisp with a slightly spicy character, followed by floral and sweet citrus. Super crushable for some warm weather hangs or any type of weather if you ask our brewers. $14 per 4 pack. #lagerappreciationmonth

I love how this has become the standard MDW OH release. I have very fond memories of crushing these while grilling last year.

Any thoughts on the Space Diamonds that's currently for sale? Is it still kind of earthy or does it have those juicy notes?

6 it is. Space Diamonds will be available again in 2 weeks. Anybody know when fresh batches of 2020 southern hemisphere hops start showing up?

So is it purely coincidental that last year's bad galaxy batch occurred around the same time as this year's, or is "avoid galaxy at all costs between April-June" the rule of thumb moving forward?

What have the fires done to Australian hops?

    Unlikely; yes.

ETA: putting out a bunch of Galaxy beers summer through fall that blow their customers' socks off then going silent for a while to whip up the FOMO of other Galaxy-laden beers and letting their masses suffer through what other breweries produce seems like a viable marketing option for OH. Or at least not using Galaxy as the primary hop. I would have assumed proper storage would keep the hops for a year, but it seems odd that each of the past two springs OH's galaxy beers have fallen hard (assuming they have, I'm not Team Galaxy).

    Little, per this report.
