grabbed one for pickup today... needing some lower ABV beer..

Anyone try the Chant the Anthem (which sounded like Inspire Hope with Saison yeast), or Bam Bam? I missed both of those..

Nosh citra/Vic secret is very good. Still not sure how I feel about this version of LSY with fruit. At first it seems a bit muddled, mango does breakthrough but the two cans I have came through a bit flat and not super well rounded.

it's not one I would drink a ton of... I think the vanilla is just a bit over done making it a touch medicinal, but its still delicious for a once in a while.

No drop and it looks like no crowlers either. They must be totally sold out.

Saga Continues dropped a half hour ago. Sold out already but I somehow snagged some. Just good timing.

Me too. I haven’t been on time to get one from TE, Conclave or Troon (duh) yet.

The troon blows my mind. different URLs every time. you have to literally type out the URL to access it, and this past week the drop was almost at midnight and still sold out in just a few minutes.

I've been able to get the last few (LYS fruit, nosh, and All together) just fine - I was in the position to grab Saga but meh, i'll wait for the next nosh. Too many honey beers lately and I can't remember which one it was - but one that I have had from TE I just didn't like (wasn't swarm)

Troon makes sense as this point. I mean what, maybe 300 or so allotments of a highly Instagram'd and trade-able beer? Especially with people working from home I can see that many people ordering without hesitation if they're within an hour drive, particularly with how easy it is to pick up if you do get it. But yeah it's a pain to get that's for sure. Now is the Troon really that worthwhile? Honestly probably not to that degree, but that's in part I say because the format isn't great for me, and I'm solo drinking the beer myself usually during this pandemic. Taking down a 32 oz DIPA even before the carb is gone is a lot of alcohol for me nowadays, which makes the TIPA they released seem crazy to me if you're alone. Also, it's amazing people will trade even by mail. No way a crowler of beer holds up perfectly well.
Honestly, if you're getting TE consistently you're getting a better deal in most cases considering their quality/price/format. Only wonder if anyone had an exploding can of the fruited shimmy by not properly refrigerating it. Same goes for the sour by Troon.

I'm a big fan of TE and have been a regular in the tasting room since it opened. I want to support the brewery during the lockdown but I refuse to live my life checking Instagram and waiting for the next drop that sells out in minutes. I've always felt the same way about Kane's internet sales. I don't even bother. When the tasting room reopens or TE develops a better way to release cans, then I'll be back. In the meantime, I'm content purchasing surprisingly fresh TG, Grimm, Aslin - and yes Alchemist - cans at my local shop, or stopping at Magnify or Two Ton without the hassle. I've also been very pleased with recent cannings by Man Skirt.

I feel the same way about TE that you. I support them buy buying crowlers a week and don't care about buying the cans much. Like you a won't plan my life around buying beer. In any case they are selling all the beer they brew so they don't need any more support. If the cans start to last 2/3 days I'll buy them.

Wouldn't mind seeing them trim down allotments. Most of their beers are 1 cs pp at 100+ cases. trim it down to 3x 4pks and you have at least 200+ allotments if everyone maxes out (which a lot don't so, probably pushing it to 250-300)

At least they're releasing plenty in cans and doing unannounced crowlers so always a shot to get some beer. They're a small brewery that makes really good beer - it's always gonna be hard for them to meet supply/demand unless they use all tank space for a single beer.

I’m kind of in the same boat :slight_frown:

it’s tough for me to constantly be checking for the drops. I love TE as much as anyone on here, but it’s been hard for me to get things in time. I’d love to support them, just not always feasible currently.

ps - where are you getting Alchemist? I’ve been hitting pretty much the same shop because of ease of the curbside, but I could go for some Alchemist
