Port barrels are pretty big, 350 liters so 2/3 bigger than a bourbon barrel. They'd only need 5 or 6 of them in order to get 4-5,000 bottles if they bottled 100% of it.

 

looks like SdB b9 is being bottled and Coconut Vibes was being teased last night on SP & Shared IG stories.

Might be my all-time favorite SP beer. So happy to hear this

 

right there with you. this & the Tete series are top notch. i think OF is slightly better though.

 

OF b2 > Tete b1 / v16 > Tete v15 > OLR for me i think...idk they’re all great.

and good point on the bottle conditioning. would guess a minimum of 8 months on that.

 

It seems like the longer the beer is in oak the longer it takes to condition. In the Biere de Coupage description it says they blended in young SdF to the Oude Fermier to speed up the bottle conditioning with the intent of protecting the integrity of the dry hopping. I’m curious about what the science is behind that.

Beeslo on IG, SP’s label artist/photographer just teased the Mikerphone collab. A Vibes with coffee, cocoa nibs and cinnamon. My guess is a double drop of that and Coconut Vibes pretty soon!

 

SP and Mikerphone working together still blows me away.

I'm picturing Guy Fieri and Eric Ripert collaborating on a dish to be served at Le Bernardin.
