They just Tweeted at me regarding details for Zwanze Day. In addition to Zwanze on tap, they will also have a keg of 2 year old Cantillon Unblended Lambic! They will also have the following Cantillon bottles available for pours by the glass:

    Fou' Foune
    Iris
    Grand Cru Bruocsella
    Gueuze

    Psykhe and Scotty like this.

I'll be there as always just like last year. I spoke with Greg about this last week and they will be pouring those Cantillons by the bottle.

Looks like 2 year unblended lambic and bottles start at 12PM. Zwanze starts pouring at 3PM.

Fou Foune and Zwanze were the stand outs for me yesterday. I had a great time at this event. Met up with IrishColonial, Rhettroactive, Scotty and a few other nice BA's.

I showed up at 12:30 and I think I was among the last folks to actually get a pour of Fou' Foune. It was already practically standing room only at 12:30, and the event started at 12.

The Grand Cru was flat as hell, but still tasty. I was a little disappointed in the carbonation though...

The Zwanze had a lot of sour bite to it. I wish I ordered a 2nd glass, but hell, at least I got to try it. Didn't take long for it to kick.

I totally forgot to ask for wine glasses for this after the fact.. completely slipped my mind. This was way busier than last year, I was there 10 minutes after the place opened and practically all the tables were full maybe 8 seats if that..

Grand Cru is always flat. It's a still lambic.

It is disappointing, nonetheless. Still limbic isn't super appealing.

I got there right around 12:30 and managed to get one of the last tables and last pours of Fou' Foune. Unfortunately, like a lot of other recent CK events, this was a bit of shitshow. I managed to get everything I ordered, but one of my friends ordered a glass of Bruocsella which never showed up (by the time the waiter realized this, all of the bottles were kicked), and pre-ordered a Zwanze which the waiter failed to write down and forgot about. Needless to say, he was not pleased. Fortunately, a kind BA sitting at a nearby table accidentally got one more glass of Zwanze than he'd ordered and gave it to my friend.

I'm not sure what exactly was going on, but it seemed like whatever system they were using for pouring the bottles was a disaster. It took about 45 minutes for me to get my beers and nearly an hour for my food (a salad, no less) to arrive! They also didn't make it clear that you had to pre-order the Zwanze, and I knew several people who got there at 1 who were shut out because of that. It seemed like CK just wasn't prepared for the huge turnout, which blows my mind. I love that CK hosts awesome events like this, but they need to figure out a better way to run them. The Funky Buddha/CCB Event last summer was equally as disastrous.

I was very sad to have gotten there too late. There was not a single drop of lambic to be had in the place by 6. I love churchkey, but every time there is even the most minor event the place becomes an over crowded horror. I honestly dont like going there due to the huge crowds now, despite the amazing food and tap lists. The quality isn't worth crowding in with 100 people in a 40 person bar. Nor is it worth the 30 minute wait I had to get any service, or the subsequent 15 minutes to get a pint of beer

I was patient, but I agree I didn't understand why it took so long to pour bottles, they must have been short staffed or something. I was really hoping for a seat at the bar like last time but even 10 minutes after opening... forget it not a chance, I was lucky to even get a table.

Nobody goes there anymore; it's too crowded - Yogi Berra
