    Is that part of the mix twelve of hoegardeen and Stella? Use to drink that years back. Was a fan of it except the hoegardeen

    I'm enjoying this just not as much as previously. I haven't been there much recently but I believe that love affair has been over for some time and just didn't realize it. I really enjoy bitter IPAs and farmhouse ales.

    I believe we're both Nelson lovers so maybe I should get a few recommendations. Do you have a top five, or ten list?

    Turning up the heat.

    I'm drinking Cellarmaker's version of Juice Lee. 6% Pale Ale. Citra, Nelson, Motueka. Canned 6/1, released 2 hours ago.

    This isn't triple dry hopped like the recent Monkish's version, so clearly the hop flavors aren't as intense. That being said, this version is pleasant and way more drinkable for these Summer temps, so I'm loving it. I think both versions are good, and you can trace the lineage, yet diverge as both have a slant towards who brewed it.

    My pick? The OG Monkish one from 2017. These 2020 Monkish & CM versions are excellent, but won't etch a space in my beer memories.

    I soured on them when they transitioned to Charlton, initially. The old days were frustrating because you could stand in line for over an hour (or more) and only leave with 8 cans. But the quality...
    Obviously, a bigger barrel system is going to have immediate changes to QC. That said, I've come full circle realizing, that for my palate, Nate is a master. Hell, I love OG Julius like I haven't had it hundreds of times prior. I still think it's that good. Like you said, though, it would be boring if we always agreed. If you save that last sip of KJ for your hair, it will be fuller and thicker tomorrow morning than when you were 18. Cheers!!!

    German family moved to Knoxville a few years ago and opened a local craft brewery Schulz Brau. Their Dunkel is awesome...so glad they've started canning.
