Surprised to see Beer Hates Astronauts still around...I have no clue how much they made, but I figured that would sell out in a day or so based on the current insatiable demand.

 

Nah man, a lot of people are on a budget right now, so $16.99/4-pack is not nearly as attractive as it normally would be!

(but they probably did make a shit-ton if they still have it; you ain't wrong)

 

Welp, finally decided to open my last can of Catch Hell tonight (you know, since the country is on fire and all). And yep, my palate must have been off on my previous can, as this is possibly better than when it was fresh. Everything has melded together wonderfully. Drinking amazingly and might be my favorite HA barrel aged stout by a good margin.

 

They have made big big batches the last few years and had large distro. I’m not sure if they made a smaller amount this year, but I doubt it. I have to believe that this is one of their best seasonal sellers over the years

 

New Coke didn't do so well either. Tab is still around though very hard to find.

Can we expect a Hazy Shade of Winter Big Hugs and Bethnic Chimera roll-out?

Honestly, New Coke sounded better than Coke to me, but I never got to try it, lol.

(they did a Stranger Things tie-in where you could spend $20 to get a 4-pack that had ONE bottle of New Coke in it. I didn't want to try it that much )

Had a keg at my wedding two years ago so there’s definitely always enough made. And now with kegs taking a hiatus, more in cans.

 

Anyone know if Half Acre plans to have their Balmoral patio open and pouring? Gave them a call and got a recorded message.

 

I would imagine they will post their plans on social media as soon as they have an official update. And hopefully the answer is yes! It would be awesome if they got that partnership with Big Star going as well.

 

For sure, they're perfectly set-up to handle and excel within Lord Lori's rules.

Funnily enough, they do the coke in parts of Puerto Rico too (they say "coca").

Also, how is everyone liking BHA? I haven't heard much, so I assume this thread is kinda unimpressed?

 

Still waiting for it to hit local stores here. From HA's comments, it seems it should be similar to last year's release. Problem is I cannot remember if I liked last year's release. Well, I'll get it anyway.

 

Just bought and tried some today - I believe it is much like last year. Huge citra aroma and pleasant maltiness. It’s certainly more clear than hazy in appearance (I can see my hand through the glass) but I would say it has a very “juicy” flavor profile, for what that’s worth.

I’m very disappointed HA doesn’t have kegs for sale, I’ll definitely be grabbing at least a couple more 4packs.

I’m making my Binny’s trip tomorrow, so hoping BHA is there. Everything I’ve seen has given me confidence that it will at the very least be very close to the BHA I initially expected.
