Other Half (2020)

I guess OH gave up on Freaky Friday

 

Maybe they just didn't have any tequila around

 

Queens brahs, Triboro beverage has DDH Green City, SGE, and Baby Diamonds. The Other Half van was pulling away as I walked in.

 

Got some Vapor Ringz today, plus some more Centre and the Space Broccoli.

VS took me back to simpler times when @JayORear used to amp the shit out of his one and only ‘tose vice

 

Aw, man, I'm just mad that I can't get it right now, being in PA for the time being. I will be back, though, and when I do, I'll buy the shit out of Ringz.

 

How's the All Cashmere? I saw it disappeared from curbside but am cautiously optimistic they'll "find" some and I can swing by today or tomorrow for a four pack but was curious how it was tasting.

 

It’s good. Not great IMO. Solid beer but unremarkable. To be fair, i just finished my last Citra + Strata and that beer is phenomenal. All subsequent OH beers that I had in the past few weeks have paled in comparison.

 

Isn't paling a good thing when it comes to India Pale Ales?

 

Forever Simcoe is great, has that melon note. So if you're that guy who loads up on the melon and pineapple from the buffet fruit salad and screws the other people with all apple and grapes it is the beer for you. If we ever get back to that being a thing please don't hand select your pineapple pieces.

 

Ah damn, I'm usually all in on Forever Simcoe but wanted a multi-hop beer to bring so grabbed a 4pk of Roc Showers. Tasty stuff, sure- though I'm skeptical of the cats around here suggesting the best hops flow from the north.

 

I'm off the other half and going with district 96. These guys remind me what other half use to be. Just creamy juicy good hop juice. Sipping on social anxiety and it's one of the best triple ipas I've ever had. Better than any triple IPA other half has released lately

 

I’ve been a fan of theirs for a while, but since they started canning they’ve been on a ridiculous roll. If they delivered to Manhattan I’d be totally okay with only having their IPA.

 

Ace was great but everything I've had from district 96 has been better

 

Are you boys lost? Coming to the Other Half thread to talk about how you're drinking a diff brewery's beer seems a bit trollish, yeah?

 

Just pointing out that other half hasnt been consistent. Other half use to have a wow effect and they have lost that recently. It's like what happened to trillium

 

Yea I thought it was off-topic too, but I love their stuff so had to chime in.

 

I think it will last, FS is the quite one of the OH four horsemen of ACE, SD, DMD, & FS.
