I made cinnamon rolls with double walnuts added to accompany Sunday brunch...my “coffee” to accompany brunch - Oskar Blue’s Barrel Aged Ten Fidy:



Jr. Z snagged 2 rolls before I could return with my beer and iPhone...

Canned 12/16/19 and drinking fine, and at $18.99 it was $7 bucks cheaper than KBS; still plenty of both on the liquor store shelf as was lots of BCBS yesterday. I’m not hurting for imperial stouts here at Chez Zombies. Cheers!

Lunch is served...MBC Lunch at 30 days in the bottle is fantastic. She said I did good, didn't kill the meat.....high praise there BA's....

Added by Act 25. 1st review. 3rd of brewer - which is a lovely rocky river valley place with hard mineral water.
Boom! this is one of my favorite DIPas of all time.
a) Energetic white head that lasts and slashes lace over hazed light apricot body. 4.5
s) Creamy, peachy, nectar aroma.
t) Follows aroma into a deep, creamy peach nectar that adds citrus, tropical fruit, grass, pine, herb.
f) Among the nicest mouth feels ever: creamy, hides ABV, inviting, seductive, good food pair with peppery spring arugula.
o) my current favorite DIPA to be blind-tested vs the best. Original, new, spacious!

Took me a while to discover this NE IPA that nears the front range and must be tested blind vs the best.
a) Murky, apricot, flattish body. white, short lived head.
s) facefull of hops, fruit, stone fruit, hemp, dry grass, sun-drenched herb.
t ) follow smell, but one of the loveliest see-saw DIPA profiles ever, which I why I wanna blind taste test w friends.
f) Nicely peppery, bitter into a clean and rush- (jump in the sea)- kind of climax.
o) Lovely how 6point (a fave brewer) can refresh this busy category.

1st Review. Also distributed by BeachHaus, Belmar, NJ. Wonderful NE hazed IPA, here at 6% ABV.

a) At cask temp, throws a massive meringue head that slashes mounds of lace and lasts over the hazed apricot body.
s) More melon than citrus, gooseberry, berries, salt grass.
t&f) Follows the aroma, fills the mouth with foamy pleasure.
o) A great cause supported by a stand out 6% IPA.

 

Happy Sunday ba. Slept in most of the morning but nows I'm gonna sit on my ass all day, eat, and of course booze it up. Another pint of lager to start. I don’t rock to many dunkels but this one is pretty good.

Fremont Stayin' Alive is a tasty west coast DIPA. More about it over in NBS if you're interested.

Also, my wife decided to make bagels (from scratch) this morning.

Two "everything" bagels, two cheddar jalapeno, four plain. They're really tasty straight out of the oven!
