No worries. You did fine. Enjoyed reading your take on this. And with the honeysuckle note, color me curious.

I think a lot of malty/floral sweetness gets mapped to "honeysuckle" in my brain. Not sure why, but that's what it makes me think of, so that's what I write down.

    Thanks for your kind words!

Kids over beer for sure. We play two against me, and even duel firing, they do alright!

    Hello Late Night NBS.
Thanks to @larryi86 for yet ANOTHER box of beer in our seemingly unending NBS BIF #11.
Today we have an iteration of DDH Hop Showers (Vic Secret) by Other Half

Hazy. Golden hued straw in color with a fluffy white head that pushed 2 fingers, then slowly settled in as a clumpy ring and and some serious clinging to the glass.
Aroma bursts with an earthy leaning tropical blend of pineapple, guava, and kiwi fur (the fruit-HAHA). A mild citrus note peeks in at the end.
Taste is definitely more tropical than citrus. The guava and pineapple begin forcefully but then do leave a little space for a zesty citrus to slowly build. It begins as grapefruit but lets a tad of tangerine come in. Finally it closes out with a slow, drying hint of dank.
Mouthfeel is mildly fluffy, actively carbonated, and retains a unique mineral water feel to it.
Overall, with the hop profile I was just expecting (hoping) for a bit more citrus. Not a knock against it, but more up my alley.
Great mouthfeel though. Hmm, is it the water?

Nice Rack!!! HAHA I know, I know. That's what she said. Sorry I had to. But on another note, I completely agree. In spite of some very trying times, I am inspired by, and appreciative for, the kindness and community I am seeing more and more of. I think this COVID situation really brought a lot of good out of people, and as for the last week or so, I see more empathy and searching for understanding, and less mindless reactionism. Not preaching here. I'm just seeing hope that people of different perspectives are a little more willing to try to understand perspectives that are different from their own.

Glad you finally tried it. HAHA. Yeah that's my wife's go-to beer at the brewhouse/restaurant.
