Feels like exasperation with the state government, in my opinion. I mean, are we even gonna try to open back up or just extend, extend, extend until spring 2021, or whenever our fearless leaders think it's right?

    From website:
Our Governor's most recent amendment to his standing Executive Order has lifted the mandatory self-quarantine requirement for anyone entering Vermont as follows:
Effective Monday, June 8. 2020, Addendum 7 to the Executive Order is hereby further amended to allow travel without quarantine restrictions to and from the counties of Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York with 400 or fewer active cases of COVID-19 per million, and as further set forth in guidance issued by the Secretary of the Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD).

It's pretty common practice to report out rates per 100k which threw me off. I was thinking there's no way they're that strict of making it lower than 400 per million but apparently they are.

Quick example, right now my county has 1,350 active cases in a population of ~565k. That's currently a rate of 2,400 per million. To get below 400/million that's 225 active cases or 0.04% of the population.

I think I am more surprised to see that there are a significant amount counties that are below that rate already to be honest.

Yeah, in NH/VT there are just a couple of cases in some of the counties. VT definitely is definitely moving slow to remain cautious and keep everyone safe.

Enforcement by county? Good luck with that.

Three back to back Instagram posts that are too big for me to clip and paste here easily just popped up.

Releasing Civil Disobedience 2020 next week with all proceeds 100% going to social change organizations that are listed in the Part 3 post.

I know secondary will never not be a thing, but there's a special level of shitlordery in selling a beer the brewery is donating 100% of proceeds from...let alone before it's even been released. Gross.

The same amount of money still gets donated. Do you want the secondary seller to donate a percentage of their proceeds too?

Is this re: C&D? Is it getting big eyes on secondary? No idea what you're talking about.

Most people on this site would probably rather no secondary market exist, period. So yes, personally I want that shitloard to donate all of his secondary profits as well to the charity/cause.

I mean, sure, the same amount of money gets donated either way and that's great, but that's not really the point, is it? I get that with reselling people either don't care or logic their way around the moral question of the practice ("The brewery should charge what it's worth if it's a big deal" and so on), which in my opinion is bullshit but ymmv. When it's a beer the brewery has determined is better used in its entirety supporting good causes, doesn't it just feel a bit more clearly icky?

HF is making no money off CD2020, essentially every $ spent making it and every $ coming in for it is going to charity. If you're (note: the proverbial you, not you) the guy who's already sold 4 of them online <24 hours since the ordering link went up, you're kind of obviously a dickhead, right?

I can’t imagine being so hard up for a few bucks that I would spend time and money just to buy and resell 4 bottles of beer. To me, it’s just pathetic.

And just to be clear, the cause in question absolutely doesn't help the seller's case. This moment in America is overdue, important, and only one step of what need to be many on the way to a more fair and just world. If Hill Farmstead (or anyone) is saying Black Lives Matter and you're saying sure, but how can I make a buck for myself off this, it's just pretty shameful.

(Yes, this person is going to sell limited HF bottles either way, so in a technical sense they may not be directly profiting off the movement, but it's adjacent enough to it that I'm pretty comfortable saying it's a piece of shit move.)
