Soon mules will have bots buy up all the inventory like Springsteen MSG tickets.

Six minutes after the release it's still available- is the price keeping everyone away?

I put my order in at the very cool and indifferent time of 9:12am and still available (and I got some). Yeah that beer ain’t a cost effective one. And it falls outside of the cost waterfall model we* put together a couple of years ago right? Unless HDHC = $4 in which case it works.

*ahem I mean you put together and which I read about on here while lurking before I had an account

The website was struggling to load but my order went through after a few tries.

Has anyone been able to do a side by side with these Freaky Friday releases and the actual beer? I'm not saying they don't, but it seems it would be really hard to replicate. Ultimately you're paying (more) for a beer with another beer's label on it.

I went on at 9:15, DDH was sold out, HDHC is still there, I'm not gonna bite at 22 bones.

I think I'll just re-up on Extra Shipper for my afternoon walk.

I really wanted to try Extra Shipper but it wasn't in the cards with my timing yesterday

Not sure if there’s a stateside counterpart in the works, but the new age/innovative take here is intriguing

OH + bitter + canned (as opposed to cask) is a combination I’m skeptical of - OH doesn’t tend to cater to puristboiz. But I’d be interested to try it

More faith here, as Northern Monk took control of the brewing process, but to your point – A stateside counterpart might not fare well: perhaps that’s why it’s been a stout in the past

HDHC fort point is really good. Can a single ipa that costs 22 bucks ever be worth it? No. But still damn good and perfect for today

Question for anyone who has done curbside in Brooklyn, if I order online do I have to pick it up myself or can someone else do it? I am in NH but my buddy will be down that way on Sunday and is willing to swing in and pick up for me but I don't want to create a hassle for him if they don't allow that.

    Thanks for any info!

As long as you send him your confirmation you should be fine. Last time I picked up I just gave them my last name. Recently I’ve had my brother pick up both my order when he’s gone to get his with no issue.

Just wanted to say how damn true this comment is. I’m a Citra + Strata fan Boi of the highest order and most of the other OH brews of late are good but not even close to that level. A level that a few years ago was wildly consistent. That said, I picked up Brainalyzer and hop damn, that shit is so good. Old school OH good. Super abrasive palette wrecker that I kinda miss. Highly recommend.

HDHC Fort Point may be the best Pale Ale I've had.

Having said that, it seems that Untapped ratings people actually prefer the DDH Version...

    HDHC has been defeated!

I think the first Trillium I had was DDH Fort Point and it definitely recalibrated how I viewed pale ales and IPA's. I got the HDHC because I wanted to see how OH would fuck with it, and it's really good- at least as good as some of their best hoppy beers. That Fort Point can I had was probably four years ago so I'm not gonna pretend I can compare the two.

Now, as far as HDHC vs. DDH, when it comes to their core lineup (ACE, Mosaic) I feel that DDH wins hands down. If anything, the expectation that HDHC > DDH sets it up for failure, because it's so close in quality IMO.

Is it just me or did DDH Fort Point not restock this morning?
