Side Project / Shared (2020)

Perennial’s patio was a happening place last Friday when i was there, which was great to see.

 

Based on what Cory was saying during his instagram live interview it could be a while for Side Project, especially since their brewery spaces is completely taken over right now by pickups.

That being said, Perennial, Rockwell, 2nd Shift (this weekend), Brew Hub, Earthbound, Bluewood, and Narrow Gauge all have at least patios open now. Some are just serving cans and some haven't opened food back up yet but it's a start

As luck would have it, I'm driving through St Louis this weekend, so I grabbed that and a bottle of Montmorency.

(From casually following this thread, it's easy to get the impression that getting SP beer is effectively impossible.) :-)

 

Thoughts on Montmorency from those who have opened bottles?

 

i’m hoping to crack one some night this week, if no one else chimes in.

 

it's tasty but quite tart. Reminds me a lot of Supplication

 

How long are you guys refrigerating them for?
24 hours+ in the fridge and haven't had any issues with fuzzy gushing.

 

i keep all my beers in a fridge. haven’t had an issue with SP gushers since Biere Blanche b1.

 

fuzzy b4 in fridge for almost a week and it just gushed like crazy.

 

We also had this issue of Fuzzy b4 gushing with the one we've opened. Figured our buddy just shook it up too much bringing it over.

 

interesting........ well i guess the ride from STL to SF must have helped curb the carb

 

I’ve opened four Fuzzy b4 bottles so far, all gushed. One was opened basically at room temp after I got back from the long drive (figured it was all the bumps and shaking from the drive), but the other 3 were all from stored upright at 45F, 50% RH in dark storage. I only lost a bit of the first beer, but I was ready for the other 3!

 

i’m pretty sure the first 375 i opened was fine and my brother opened a 750 back in May and it was fine. not sure if it’s certain bottles or what.
