I feel like I'm the only guy who's not a big fan of Nicie. Always found it to be too peppery to be refreshing

I think a lot of people are in your boat on Nicie and thats why we will not see it packaged again according to the Short's people.

As for me I love the peppercorn and coriander and thats what separated it from the other summer wheat ales.

I'm going to be happy/sad when Jaw Jacker gets bottled before Pumpkincrusha.

Just saw Short's got a label approved for Neon Swimsuit. I wonder if that will end up at Our Family stores like Neon Snowsuit did last fall.

Does anyone known if this is then same as Black diamond/Neon snowsuit? The beer profile on the Short's site reads the same for the two. If so I cant wait to get my $24 24pk haha.

Black diamond was a house beer for Shanty Creek Resort, and is one in the same as neon snowsuit.

Yeah I heard they had to change the name from Black Diamond because of naming rights.

But my question is, is Neon Snowsuit and Neon Swimsuit the same beer? Other than abv difference and one being called a black lager and the other just a lager, the website says the following about each:

Neon Swimsuit is a deceptively light bodied lager despite its deep black color and soft brown lace. The creamy mouth-feel is enhanced by notable dark chocolate and espresso flavors from heavily roasted malts. A brief cocoa bitterness is finished crisp and clean.
    5.1% ABV
    25 IBU

I don't necessarily want to encourage another pumpkin ale on the shelves, but if Pumpkincrusha saw a limited release around August I wouldn't be too mad.
I think it was released in Kegs about two years ago, that's when I got to try it.

I would say they're the same thing, just rebranded for the season. Just like Beach/Snow Wheat.

I think the difference in ABV can be chalked up to Short's measuring for each time it's released. I don't think Spruce and PGGB have had the same ABV on different releases over the years either.

Yeah thats the only time I got to try it was on tap a few years ago. I think Short's could make a great fall variety pack with Noble Chaos, Autumn Ale, Pumpkincrusha, and a wet hopped ale like Kind Ale.

Makes sense. Short's abv was always different batch to batch in the early days. I also always wondered if beach wheat and snow wheat were the same haha.

This. I feel like most people didn't really notice Arcadia was gone. But hey, if it means more Jaw Jacker, I'm cool with it.

I knew it was gone because I read about it. I hadn't drank anything from Arcadia in years. I do remember liking their Scotch Ale quite a bit.

I remember a few years ago when Scott would hop on the board, he mentioned Spruce was temperamental and sometimes took a while to finish. I imagine we'll see it in fall if they're planning to release Juicy Tree in its usual winter spot.
Or maybe we'll get a sprucey variety pack....

As much as a Sprucey variety pack sounds exciting, I'd rather all of those spruce tips go towards Spruce Pilsner and Juicy Tree six packs!

When it hits, I may just take a day off work and ride up to Michigan (are bottle shops open to walk-ins in MI yet?) to buy a case.
