New delivery post is up.... Looks like a TIPA strata, and DDH citra Galaxy, plus a baby aced in space, and DDH MD? I know where we are on strata. Where we at on Galaxy? Is this worth me driving 90 minutes this week each way to stock for July 4th, or not so much? Missed mylar as is which is frustrating, and was hoping for ACE, but maybe this lineup is worth rolling the dice, if accurate?
(Note, sorry if this steps on any toes announcement wise... But I was hoping for vigorous debate on Galaxy ASAP... also I'm bored)

God damnit on 3x Strata... Trips suck in the heat, missed the double last time. I'll dip my toes in on Citra+Galaxy, last batch of SD was alright but the citra beers have been real good lately.

I cracked the All Galaxy last night. Its very in your face Galaxy. Different from Space Diamonds and SD is better IMO, but as it warmed it was very good. I would have no worries buying these new ones coming out

    Keg email:

HDHC Small Citra Everything IPA (6.5%) HDHC in a slightly more crushable form. Packed with our Citra, Citra Cryo and Citra Incognito. Like a Citra tidal wave.

HDHC Mylar Bags Imperial IPA (8.8%) The beer for hop lovers, now with more hops. Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado, Galaxy, and Amarillo make this beer one of our hoppiest. Citra, Amarillo and Mosaic Cryo and Citra and Mosaic Incognito take it to the next level.[IMG]

Out of curiosity what's the normal turnaround on these keg emails in the COVID era? I'm assuming weekend at earliest?

My palate is notoriously unreliable. On the FroFox™️ scale (where @frozyn is a 1/10 and struggles to identify liquids vs solids, and @M-Fox24 is an 11/10 and can pick up the assistant brewer’s blood type and mood) I’d say it’s a weak 5. My total palate recall is even worse - about a 2. But still - if I was comparing to SD - while I don’t think either are in-your-face beers, algae is the easier drinker IMO. Agree though about generally preferring SD (though going only by the most recent 2-3 batches may have to give the nod to the contender). I’m fully conscious of the fact that this paragraph is horrifically written and brutal to read.

Also maybe it’s cos I had low(ish) expectations but I really enjoyed MoMo.

Damn HDHC Mylar and C+G....going to have to get on the subway for the first time since February it seems as I really shouldn't buy another whole case...

Yeah that's a pretty intense release tomorrow

Well not sure HDHC Mylar is going to overlap. Not mentioned for tomorrow's release, and god knows if citra/Galaxy would make it to Friday/Saturday, which I'm assuming is the earliest release. But I hope you're right!

It could be the fact I can't remember the last time I had a SD that I am thinking All Galaxy is more in your face, looks like we need a side by side at some point

For anyone that has done the Long Island pick up options, 2 questions. Is it still a mixed case minimum? Is the process pretty smooth (no lines, etc.)?

So they have renamed the Chroma beers to call out the Hop instead of a color?

I think they and Tree House need to coordinate colors to hops.

I’d say it was at that sort of tweener 10pm(ish) sort of time. If that makes it ok then clearly I’m among friends

In other news just cracked a more strata. It’s good. But I’d had higher hopes (even for a triple). And does this mean citra was the star of the show in citra strata. I thought it was the latter that gave it that something extra. Or maybe just a perfect combo - in either case I really really hope we get more Citra Strata soon (ideally before I leave Brooklyn) - that’s really been the BOTY so far for me

Unless I’m at a gathering 10 pm would be last call for my Saturday night, so in my book you’re good.
