Beachwood Brewing & Blendery (2020)

The latest exhibition of Beachwood being good people, 2LB, is being released on Thursday. I'm sure it pairs well with extra large orders of Amalgamator and LBC packs

 

2LB is pretty good. It's citrusy but not annoyingly so. Glad I grabbed two four packs

 

Same recipe as Beachwood 13, so if anyone liked that last year, should like this. I picked some up today and am digging it too.

 

I kinda wish they’d canned Loma Prieta instead of 2LB but I guess it’s Loma on steroids. *sigh* I might give this a shot. *BA DUM TSS*

 

BA Full Malted Jacket this Friday.

 

I was hoping it would be Rye Like an Eagle, but I love BAFMJ....would also love if they had the non-BA version for growler fills

 

I just opened up a 2015 BAFMJ and it was tasting pretty damn good. I have a Rye Like an Eagle in the fridge right now too...

 

Picked up a couple bottles of BA Full Malted Jacket, and it is fucking divine. Dangerously easy to drink, not overly boozy...nice bit of caramel sweetness. Perfection

They also have a new pilsner up, Barrels to Bavaria. I don't think they posted anything about this on their Instagram. It's described as "our newest addition to the growing fleet of Beachwood lagers. This rustic pilsner emphasizes crackery malt and floral & earthy bitterness from German Tettnanger hops." The description is very true. I've always enjoyed Beachwood's lager program, and this is probably one of their best. I really hope they can this to add another lager alongside Hayabusa

Rejoice! Simcoast to Coast returns in cans on Friday

 

Picked up a half case of Hayabusa and half case of Malgy today. Haven't had Beachwood since before quarantine.

Tried to buy a half case of LBC but they were out. They're canning another batch today that will be ready for pick up tomorrow.

 

Barrels to Bavaria sounds pretty good. I need to grab a crowler and some Simcoast for the weekend.

I’m still holding out hope that they start canning Loma Prieta in 12 or 16 oz runs.

Beachwood LB has reopened for dine-in service

 

Beachwood LB just reopened for in-house dining to be closed down again. LOL

This re-opening phase has been a disaster.

 

My bad. It was just me speculating given the current spike in infection cases. The next three weeks are going to make or break this re-opening phase. I am not optimistic.

 

Placed an order today and went to go pick up my beers. Most of the indoor tables are gone with most of the seating being outside. No bar seating. Bartenders all had on the plastic face masks and had the perspex shields near the ordering stations. Food menu was reduced, but the classic stuff was on there: fries, nachos, pickles, sandwiches and salads
