I wouldn't be surprised if Chris knows the reason behind this.

For what it’s worth, it didn’t taste nearly as good as Aventinus from the bottle.

And while the Notch Hef didn’t have the booming head, it tasted really good.

Jeez, now I’m craving a Hef. I think I just like beer too much (?)

That video is super helpful! I think I've been doing that by accident for years...

And @ChrisLohring I'm down for virtually anything you and Notch do!
Just wish I lived in Salem as I'd be there everyday.

Waited for maybe 5 minutes. Wasn’t crowded and a line never really developed while I was there.

I hope Notch stays with this format. Easiest drink ordering experience of my life.

First draft beer in over three months and couldn’t have felt safer. Thanks Notch!

That’s a picture of the new bridge by the river @meefmoff was talking about.

    Hard pour for the win.

One of these terms has to change: "hard" pour and "slow" pour

Because the opposite of a "hard" pour would be a "soft" pour. And the opposite of a "slow" pour would be a "fast" pour.

I also have that Weihenstephan glass and it's one of my favorites. It's also a sneaky good NEIPA glass.

I don't see any conflict between hard pour and slow pour. Maybe call it "aggressive pour". I don't do the extremely slow pours right down the center. I just pour aggressively to get a bit more head.

I used to have a bunch from buying Weihenstephan gift packs (always a great deal) at Christmas time.

Can you do a hard pour slowly?

You can do a "soft" pour quickly I suppose.

I have a few beer crates that my dad got in Germany from his military time that I have used to store home brew . I would love to have a Notch crate- full of great beer of course!

Looks like Notch got permission from the city to put tables on the riverwalk area next to the canal

Didn’t really know where to plunk this down, but figured you’re lager guys...

Simmer my knackwurst in a smoked Helles or a Mexican dark lager?

As a wild card I have a 9 month old CBS too...

Who Loves the Sun spotted in stores (Ball Square Somerville). So happy this is in twelve packs.

Any chance the kolsch could be next?

Snagged a 12 pack of it at Ball Square two weeks ago.

“It” being Who Loves the Sun, not the Kolsch. That would be awesome.

Saw Devils Purse Kolsch in 12 packs there yesterday. Almost snagged it except I needed an 18 pack of the 1975 ‘Gansett cans for watching Jaws instead.

My instinct was to say the smoked beer but you can get smoked flavor from grilling so maybe that's a waste of a rauchbier. I'd go mexican dark.

I've never had a go-to summer beer, but this is definitely IT! So happy this is somewhat readily available.

Anyone have any info on the Allston location? Is this still happening?

His Instagram story is no longer active, but Chris was there a couple of days ago? taking video of the ongoing construction.

Seems like it still is, but the timeline has likely been thrown off due to COVID.
