Mike straight up burning porches down today!!!

 

First of many blind beers from @thatoneguymike. Everything but this one was numbered so I decided to start here.



Pours golden yellow, fairly hazy but some light gets through. Nose is herbal- mint, parsley. Taste reminds me of a traditional pale ale- earthy, herbal, some citrus, fairly bitter. Decent malt presence. Mouthfeel is in line with a pale ale, very middle of the road.

Well, lost internet and cable and a tech can’t get out until Tuesday. Now I have to head into the office tomorrow, so drinks are needed. Time to dive into the haul from @thatoneguymike

Blind beer 1 of 15


As soon as I lift the glass to my mouth a get a strong smell of pickles. I’m not sure this is going to go well. But first sip, it’s actually kind of refreshing. Pickle taste is not overpowering, feels like a light Pickle gose. I search Georgia breweries for a pickle beer and didn’t really have any luck identifying.

And that’s because....

It’s not a pickle beer. I suck at blind beers. Cucumber, Coriander, and Lime.

Went with a 16 oz vessel, and was met with some hops! Nice mouthfeel on this one, I’m betting this is at least 8%, a DIPA or DDH IPA. I haven’t had too many GA hops, so can’t really pinpoint the brewery. It’s damn good though.

Road Full of Promise, collaboration by Monday Night along with Weldwerks. When I was in Atlanta last year I hit Monday night, and I highly recommend it, cool place.

Oh, thanks! We like nerdy stuff. My favorite art is in the living room, I have some stuff with references to Big Lebowski, Tarantino, Drive, Scott Pilgrim, etc.

-I follow one of you on a beer related APP. My other target does not use this APP.

 

Taking a page from @SouthernSips hint. Both of my targets have at least twice as many ticks on Untappd than I do.

 

Hint #10: my username features some alliteration. So do several of yours. If your username does alliterate, though, you are not my target.

 

Hint #1- I have not chugged a beer / setup multiple hostess displays / left a picture of Wilfred Brimley on either of my targets porches
Hint #2- I have either sent and/or been sent beer by one of my targets before (target X). The other I have not (target Y)
Hint #3- I have not met either of my targets in a parking lot during quarantine to do a beer swap where a dog tagged along
Hint #4- I have not had a beer (or more) in either of my targets kitchen
Hint #5- neither one of my targets was with me the last time I had a beer in a brewery before the shutdown
Hint #6- as of 12:30 PM on Monday the 22nd one of my targets has put in a guess in the LIF Jason and I are doing (target X) and one has not (target Y) (55% of you have guessed). The target who made a guess has been more active than the other target on this thread. The LIF does hit the style preferences of the non guessing target pretty well so I'm expecting a guess to be made before the deadline
Hint #7- Shipping UPS ground will take 2 days longer for one target (X) than the other for my boxes (target Y)
Hint #8- I have had a BA beer mail conversation with one of my targets (X) but not the other (Y)
Hints #9-13 were gifs giving target Y some shit
Hint #14- I bought the wife a used car this weekend. One of may targets has an automotive assembly plant in their state (Y) the other does not (X)

What if you had chickens but they got slaughtered by a bear 2 months ago?

 

1. I have not shipped any dicks to my targets, yet.
2. My targets have both posted more so far than I have.
3. I am shipping slightly north, somewhat west and a little south.
4. I have shipped beer to both of my targets before
5. Target #1 trying to decide if I want to be a dick with your blind beer. Target #2 I should be able to fulfill many ticks for you.
6. Target #1 has more Untappd check ins than me Target #2 does not.
7. Looks like both targets are about a 2 day ship for me.
8. Making a trip to Charleston Friday to pick up beer. Neither target has had been from this brewery.
