That's what I don't get though... literally everybody wins. It's one thing to charge 80 when it's a very exclusive beer to get and there is limited production... but when literally every single person that enters gets in... it's a tough sell. I'd be shocked if they can run this back at 80 (plus the ticket and tax, so basically 100 bucks) next year and not get met with some resistance.

Obviously, the solution is to just not buy it. Just giving my opinion as to the current state of that beer.

Last year was the first year everyone won. Prior to that was less production

Yeah I get that so this year it will be more of the same. I suppose we could see a lot more entries this year since there is proxy, so maybe it will be a little more "exclusive".

We will certainly see more entries. Still see a lot of people posting about never Having it and wanting to try it, but I agree I think a lot of people who want it will get it and a lot of people who could have had it locally for about half the Covid months have had it and will probably pass.

when they went to 4 packs a few years ago seemed like they were preparing to mass distribute it, but given how much of a draw this is and how it still sells they will continue to do it until it stops making them a lot of money.

FWIW I entered last year and definitely did not win. The wife did. She’s actually won all 3 times we’ve ever won over the last 5 years or however long it’s been.

But I did not receive a winning email last year. Maybe I’m in the minority idk.

You would be the first person I heard not winning last year. I’m sure some people did not get in, but one of my friends was emailed in the 3rd round of emails sent out after they said they only sent out two. His came about 2 days after round 2 came out.

IIRC, my wife and I both entered but only one of us initially "won". Then the other got an email a few days later offering the chance to buy, presumably because the "winners" did not use up all the allotments. I think the second-chance sale went on for days, so that has to say something about the supply-to-demand ratio. Anyway, it was our first time to a MD release and it was worth it as a one-time thing. I'm passing this year.

Certainly could be a supply/demand or says something about people entering. People enter their relatives for these releases and when they win take their allotment. MD 3 yrs ago I didn’t win but a friend did, however I went to a bar the night before for their special release and a guy told me he entered his grandmother and she won and she’s going to pick up his beer tomorrow. it’s a lot of spammers as well who win their allotment and don’t pick up the other 4 that won that get recycled.

I remember when they teased MN with 4-packs of Morning Delight years ago. I suspect this would not of been a money maker for them selling at then 4-pack prices. But with haze and pastry price creep of 4-packs and crowlers and people willing to drop $20 on shit, they could sell it today for anything they want and people would buy it.

I had the 6/12 batch. It was mostly good, but had a celery note on the finish and I hate celery so I was not pleased.

I’m betting they are staggered. Never seen a TG lottery that wasn’t.
