    I hear ya...
Just for context, I had a Heady Topper right before Crocus, and Crocus stood out in my mind.
(Or maybe I'd had one too many beers), but still!

Interesting results. Both use Vienna malt. I think that is one of the things that keeps some people from loving Crocus.

Anyway, just bought a keg of Lucky Catfish over the weekend. Hot damn is it good! Pale ale type hop aromatics but finishes lager clean. Odd hybrid, but obvious summer time crusher that will not last too long

Terrible timing. I was in Half Acre's neighborhood Saturday, a day or so after they ran out of Crocus and 2 days before they put Vallejo out there.

Anyone tried Sunset Vallejo? Trying to decide if I want to make a trip up to half Acre this weekend to get some.

The original Sunset Vallejo was nothing special. Hopefully this double is better.

Way different beer than the original. I liked it.

Vallejo has returned to its best version of itself. Sending me back. It is a shame they can’t make it year-round anymore, but I will be happily drinking at any time it is released. Glad they didn’t just retire it

I’m officially on my 3rd pack of BHA. I take back my initial feeling of liking previous year’s batches more. I’m loving this. It’s definitely the first of HA’s modern “soft” IPAs I really dig. I can’t stop drinking it.

Anyone had Shores? It's listed on here as a New England IPA; I'm curious if it's one of their "hybrid" efforts, or if it's a straight up take on the style.

Burger advocates, how does Half Acre’s measure up in the Chicago scene? Always looks great in their posts.

It’s nothing special for me. Would much rather have a burrito or go across the street to bad apple for a burger.

I love Half Acre, but that burger is a rip. $15 for a lesser version of Redhot Ranch double cheeseburger is not for me.

If we are talking brewery burgers, I quite like Corridor and am pretty sure Forbidden Root’s is good too

Unless Bad Apple isn't doing curbside, 200 feet away, that would be your best burger bet for that part of the city. Still, it's not Au Cheval, Loyalist, or Owen & Engine.
