    Done with work for the day and relaxing with a FW Union Jack. Got a pot roast in the instant pot for dinner. Instant Pot does an incredible job on pot roast.

    Revolution Brewing Black is Beautiful.

    Was given a more generous pour than intended, 16 oz of 10% abv. This is a good/very good stout, sweet, slightly dry and chalky, medium body, stronger abv well masked. Sounds like various breweries are attempting the same pour like All Together. Glad I had the chance to score a pint.

    Stopping at two pours here, four this afternoon, to survive the evening. Would recommend this pour to those who like stouts, and can handle a strong abv pour.

    The only Mayor I’d ever re-elect.

    Caught a fish today. It was my biggest bass yet from the newly stocked city park pond with enough duck sh*t to fertilize 40 acres.

    Now, here is a Tripel I absolutely love. La Fin Du Monde. The yeast character here always floors me. Fresh cut hay, peppery spice, fruity esters that range from peach, banana, and melon rind.

    And its Ryo Fukui time. His late 70's trio was amazing, obviously influenced by Bill Evans, but one of the few that could actually expand on his trios and not just imitate. This is 1977's Mellow Dream.

    So Fidens has generated some hype. I'm guessing a lot of that is local support driven. For my palate, it's all sizzle and no steak. I would never write any brewery off after two crowlers, but neither one of them did it for me. Are scores inflated on Untappd? IMHO, absolutely. BAs, please don't trade for this; these are not the IPAs you're looking for. Cheers!
