And thanks for indulging in my trip down family history and memory lane

 

Hangin' with the neighbors now. Might be last IPA of the night (my apologies, theipahunter)...

 

Not sure why but this does not seem to taste all that good after an IPA. Usually I drink it after yard work when I am just a foul smelling piece of yuck. Quenches my thirst then and all is well.

 

Enjoying a Jai Alai back at home. The wife said (about 2 beers/wines ago) I'll make salads when we get home....sure my pet.....she is currently making a warm spot asleep on the couch.....I'll take the win!

Just a great and very fitting song....man it was an easy time back then.....cheers bro's.....

 

So it looks like it was a waste of time and money for me to build an ark - as far as I can tell, most of the rain from Fay has veered off to the west of Massachusetts - I don't even think @SABERG will see much from this storm. Doesn't matter, I have this to keep me company ...

 

At my age I can usually find a redeeming quality in almost any woman.

Except for that whole marrying me part, I'd agree with you. She's a fantastic cook and has mastered an unbelievable variety of styles and dishes. Plus I like her.

Just so you don't think I'm a total deadbeat, I make her a cake of her choosing every year for her birthday (and she does NOT pick easy stuff -- last one had six layers), and I make my own giardiniera that beats the living bejeezus out of any other giardiniera I've tried. And the kids say I make better grilled cheeses than she does!

Another 12 hour day—this Trop is going with me to the shower.

 

Picked this up for two reasons. 1. I love Modern Times. 2. I like something apropos to accompany my tequila. I did good.

 

I remember the cake you made for her - it was excellent looking. Sounds to me like you guys have a great relationship - but I'm glad you have the upper hand with the grilled cheese
