Mrs. Ozone and I celebrated our 21st anniversary Friday, was a busy day (she worked) so I'm fixing some dinner for her tonight. This rack of lamb has been marinating overnight in olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, and salt & pepper overnight.

 

Alternative Fax. My favorite Little House Brewing beer. Doesn't come around often enough lately.

Up next, Hop Chowda Hazy IPA from Goldwater. Mosaic, Citra, and El Dorado hops. This is juicy. Smells of peaches and mangos. Clean and smooth drinking.

I've had this spider ruling my window in the living room for months, I believe it's a jumping spider which are harmless so I leave him be because he eats other insects.



I had an annoying fly buzzing around the room today and damn if he didn't catch the little bastid ..

 

I love a good Cream Ale and this one from Man Skirt Brewing here in New Jersey satisfies!

Finally cracked into the new Oskar Blues Death by Affogato, a 6.5% porter brewed with lactose, vanilla, cacao, and espresso beans. Predictably, I like it; you all know I drink a TON of Death by Coconut, so it's no surprise. These folks do flavored, reasonable ABV, stouts right. And at an OK price-point, too. Cheers.

High Cotton Mexican Lager

Brilliantly clear very light yellow color with quickly disappearing cap.

Aroma of clean grain and slightly floral hops.

Taste is fuller than the scent implies with a lean toward grain. I don't really get much in the way of hops with that flavor receding into the background. Drinks and finishes dry with just a hint of bitterness.

A medium full texture with balancing carbonation.

Overall it strikes me as an AAL type with more flavor than we usually expect from that sort of brew.

 

You have to make it up this way sometime and hike around Walden Pond, there is a small monument/stone on the site where his cabin was. It’s a nice walk for dogs as well!
