I don't do the secondary market and don't like what it has done to trading for some people however, I just searched for sold GTM on one of the bigger sites and saw that some have sold for between $177 and $205. I would still keep one to pair with Sushi.

I think the name of GTM was probably an inside joke. They sampled it out of the barrels and said "don't mix Dark Lord with a shitload of ginger and orange peels, this is one of the greatest teachable moments".

I'm curious, did you first show your ID and ticket to someone when you went for pick up, and then that same person went to the table and grabbed you three totes, or did a different person bring the tote bags from the person that checked your ticket...? Just curious who would have made the call to grab the same three variant totes during your process.

 

Is it possible the whole process is random and just wound up that way? Was a tip involved?

 

My checker actually made sure to give me a bag with a different variant stack than the 3 bags my friend got. He was bringing it, looked, then took it back to the table. It was a silver top, so I would’ve wound up with a LATM. (Friend got 2 and 1 Aquavit)

A girl (that seemed very nice) checked my ID and order info. Walked up to a guy at the table and said 3 bags. I heard them having a conversation about how every single beer was the same. They started pulling bottles from a ton of bags and I'm thinking "oh, they are helping me out and not giving me 3 of the same beer, or they are avoiding giving me 3 handjees, whatever, as long as I get one good one I'll be happy!"

Turns out I was wrong. They were just moving all the GTM's to my 3 bags before they handed to me.

It was a different guy that brought them, but they were talking the entire time.

 

really think it was just packed in the order they pulled the bottles out of the cellar, then put in the truck in order, then distributed in order. Perhaps why so many people seemed to get hanjee yesterday, and I don’t think I’ve seen a Sunday post with a hanjee.

 

It's not "random" when they take every single GTM bottle and pack them all on one table, the shuffle bottles around to move them INTO my bags.

Did you tip? Why would they move them to your bag on purpose? Was the server an ex of yours? Did you wear a mask?

 

Completely agree on this. Seems like initially there was a run of Handjee and Chemtrail. Then Cavaliero for a while. Now I think I've seen GTM more than most. Also, I'm not referring to just on Beer Advocate. I've been trying to track down on Twitter and Instagram what people are mentioning they are getting, and it's lining up relatively well with what people on Beer Advocate are stating they're getting.

Which is lining up perfectly for my double Turtledogg bag to come.
