Is Foothills cool about opening up bottles inside?

 

Well that sux. I was going to bring some super-fresh Heady to the lot, but I won't get there in time to share it while still remaining under the blessings of the WSPD

 

Heady's in a can -- they'll never know!

 

yes, they were very cool about it at BASC 12. Got to try some great things once everyone was inside and the bottles were popped. Just bring your own taster glass.

I'll be there Friday night and in the morning. Not sure yet what I'll bring - probably an old Rumpkin, Doggie Claws, Big Black Voodoo Daddy, some other stuff.

 

I'll be there with OSUBeerStudent and I was thinking about bringing a bottle of CBS for either Friday night or saving it until Saturday morning and maybe a few others (year old First Frost and two year old Rabid Duck come to mind...I'll need to see what I currently have).

I am planning on showing up, but am not sure if I will be at the FRI night tasting or showing up at 3AM to start drinking. We will be rolling with a crew. I plan to bring some good bottles to share.

BASC was actually pretty low key. The WSPD was very cooperative as long as you didn't make a scene. If everybody just cooperates and doesn't have a dan aykroyd "trading places" episode, we'll be golden. I will bring some doughnuts for the WSPD. Perhaps a breakfast stout.

Foothills is fine with sharing brews inside. They'll have ORF tapped and possible other DR and OH brews. So if somebody wants to get a big table inside and save me a seat, I'd be eternally grateful.

 

Plan on showing up around 5-6 AM myself. Might bring a bottle of Black Ops or '11 Abyss to share, maybe some other stuff I can dig up as well. Can't wait!

 

Any nervous about DR's addition this year?

Hey guys, anybody looking for an extra bottle of ORF? I'm looking for a bottle of BASC to include in a box for a trading partner of mine (I'm all out) and was wondering if anyone could help me out w/ an IP trade at the release on saturday? or maybe a charlotte BA that can't attend the ORF release and would like a bottle? If you can help me out, please send me a message. On a side note, I'll be bringing some hardywood gingerbread stout and Lunch IPA to open up at the release.

 

I've been told you can typically get more than 4, so that might be a tough one to swing. Good luck, though!

 

FYI---City Beverage will be offering a cask on Friday starting at 4pm. It sounds tasty:

Join us this Friday, December 7th for our monthly cask. This month we are featurng a very interesting cask from Highland Brewing Company. The cask is Highland's Trail Mix, a belgian style porter aged in a maple bourbon barrel with raisins, almonds, cacao, dried cherries and lots of love!

We will tap this cask at 4pm so get here early because a fresh cask of goodness doesn't last all night.

 

I am. I mean, can they do better than last years batch? That one was off the hook delish!!! IMO of course.
