Dark Horse 4 Elf Party

Gonna line up about 11am

 

Contemplating getting an elf costume for this. I'll be the elf version of Bad Santa.

 

I'll be Santa the Pirate, stabbing any scallywag linejumpers with my sword or grabbing them with my hook hand.

 

Sounds difficult, but I'd probably fap to it.

As stated above, there is NO need to get there super early (or camp out or any of the other bullshit that ruined KBS day).

Be smart and be respectful and don't ruin yet another beer party / release.

 

Hook this guy up. But, make sure he promises to wear something when he goes to bed

 

I know there was a lot of bitching/bickering/boasting in the threads surrounding KBS day, but I remember the actual event itself being pretty fun (other than the fact that it was balls cold). How was it "ruined"? I'm confuse.

 

And make sure he brings his own pillows...

well here i am being a **** again. any chicagoans leaving saturday and have space for one awesome dude that may or may not wear clothes for yah the way over? i can pitch in for gas....

 

Is that a serious question? All of that madness (fueled by the campers and "hypers" in my opinion) caused them to change to ticketed releases.... and now all that fun you had will never happen again.

If 4 elf turns in to the same kind of shitshow, another fun event is going to also be ruined for the future.

 

Not to change the subject, but is anyone going to Eccentric Day at Bell's on Friday? I figure I can dress like an elf both days and kill two birds with one stone.

 

DLD turned into a ticketed event and, IMO, has been just as fun, if not more so, than the previous, unticketed years...

Just sayin'.

 

Is it poor etiquette to ask someone who doesn't want to buy their full allottment of BBL Plead the 5th to grab a few extras for me?

 

But it's still one day to attend whereas Founders' releases will be spread out (which is fine by me though -- you can't manage or satisfy the overwhelming demand of craft beer nowadays).

If I wake up Saturday morning, and I read that there were 300 people in line by some ridiculous hour, I'm going to be legitimately pissed off. Go between 11 & 3 like the brewery says, get your token, & get ready for a good time.

Honestly, I've never seen a "community" that does so much to hurt itself.

 

Nothing has been confirmed by Founders as to what they are going to do other than it will be ticketed. Since KBS was always more of an event than their other releases, maybe it will be an all day event. Only speculation is around at this point.
