    Just got home from camping in the Bighorns. Beautiful cool weather and plenty of wildlife. It was a chilly 44° this morning. Our camp was at 8600'.

    New one for me, I heard all this talk about Köstritzer I had to find myself some of this beer. At $6 a 4pk of pints it isn't an easy pass. This beer smells amazing right now, like a perfect mix of toasty brown raisin bread and cigar tobacco leaf. I've been smelling it for about 10 minutes and I haven't even took a sip yet. Hmmm, not bad. Canned in Dec. '19 with a best by Dec. '20 date. Toasty, bready, a bit raisiny, light, easy drinking, crushable, dark, roasty, some fruity lager yeast esters like a little apple or pear, tobacco, chocolatey, dark bitter coffee ground taste. Another nice and interesting beer from Germany. Cheers!

    This beer is from Virginia, Beer Company to be exact, a nice regular strength oatmeal stout:
