    Lawson's - Scrag Mountain Pils

    The first time I tried this, I still wasn't a huge lager fan, so I sort of brushed it off. This proves how important it is to revisit beers every now and then. I recall this being a mediocre beer, but I can see now that it's actually quite finely crafted, with a very nice min
    erality from some damn fine water. I'll likely incorporate this into my regular rotation. Really nice.

    Got up at the asscrack of dawn to do some striper fishing with a buddy and his girl. Unfortunately, they failed to hook up, but I managed to locate an absolute blitz where stripers, bluefish, seals, dolphins, and birds were feeding on a hyge school of menhaden. Watching the seals (about 30 of them) work together to corner the fish was something spectacular. With such an awesome display of nature, they were not disappointed that I was the only one catching fish. Buddy later hooked into this absolute monster pickerel at our local pond. A damn fine day indeed.

    This tastes like a wine now. I swear I had this fresh but apparently never rated it. There are a number of beers I never quite got around to rating. Oh well, guess I'll have to try the beers again eventually if I can. Cheers!

    On behalf of horns up Friday I will post some old metal songs I really like, really just one band who is one of my favorites, at least before the 90's. Growing up my older brother's favorite bands were Pantera and Metallica, so naturally I got into them when I started discovering more rock and metal bands. Pre-90's Metallica is some of my favorite jams.

    Might cross over to a mixed drink after this for a slight change of pace, but we’ll see.

    Apparently NatGeo content is included in our new subscription, so checking out some science shows while GF finishes meetings.

    I recall I got an HD TV nearer the beginning when little content was available: some sport events and Discovery-like science shows/documentaries. I recall just watching whales swim on one channel because it was so clear a picture.

    It seems like the science channels are still ahead of the game with using highest quality visual tech - though it may be a misperception on my end.

    ...busy late morning...amongst other things, got some pork steaks smothered in red and yellow onions, green onions, Hatch 505 medium chilies and some Miss June chilies. I'll add some tomatoes a bit later and serve it up with Spanish rice for supper. Also have some Buffalo wings going with Frank's Hot Sauce and a touch of Miss June chilies...
