I used my shitty work issued 3-year old Dell which had a crashed hard drive and a bulging battery a couple months ago, used shitty work WiFi with a bunch of programs opened.... ended up getting a bottle.

I think we’re too focused in on one variable and we’re trying make the data fit the theory. Ultimately, we don’t know exactly how Eventbrite manages who gets in and who doesn’t. Faster connection speed doesn’t hurt, I’m sure, but who knows how much that variable ultimately contributes.

Succeeded on my Eventbrite app on my Samsung S8 on home wifi network. Wife using her laptop got in the line but eventually got booted out. First time getting through on a More online sale.

confirmed my buddy was shut out on his iOS because his app shot him over to a browser queue.

android app user here, zero queues, zero issues (bottle logic releases, MoRe, etc.)

I had it in my cart and got in the checkout queue, and then got shut out after several minutes of waiting.

I am 1 for a million on More online releases (only hit was toasted Marshmallow) so I’m never shocked by the eventbrite shit show. Looking forward to hopefully getting a shot to try this on draft when More does their postponed anniversary party. Also am I the only one who misses in person bottle releases?

I'm sure you're not the only one, but as I breezed through two Revolution releases that took a total of 5 minutes, I thought to myself "I never want to go wait in a beer line ever again."

It will be fascinating how BCBS is released this year. Binny’s doesn’t have the online sale system set up for it. Jewel is better equipped but would they want to bother? The release seems too big to only go out of Goose Brewpub/Taproom. If they handle their own sales, how damaging would that be to their sales to stores that sell 312 and Goose IPA all year in order to lockdown BCBS?

Cant beat the convenience with online releases. Normally your likely to burn several hours for in person releases, especially BA ones. I do miss the line shares and getting a chance to meet some awesome people. Last one I did before Covid hit was the Riverlands BA Anniversary release back in March. Maybe we will see some in 2021.

Yeah BCBS will be interesting. Half Acre has been doing the Benthic release online the last 2 years and I am guessing Rev will do the Deth series online this year. I’m assuming Goose is working on something online and likely no prop day this year

Why would anything change in regards to who gets allocations? Wouldn't Binny's just divide up their allocations among stores rather than have 1 flagship location? GI will probably just do a fest-less Prop Day out of the taproom where you win a lottery to pick-up an overpriced guaranteed allocation curbside during a few week period. Jewel has hundreds of people passing through a day, how would 100 allocations of BCBS per store make any difference. They probably had more people coming in per day looking for toilet paper during the pandemic.

My thinking is that lining up isn’t going to happen outside of some smaller stores

Anyone know if VP location has outdoor seating? I looked on their FAQ page and nothing. Trying to decide if I want to do food there when I drive up to get my bottle.

I believe it’s all indoors at VP. How busy do we think it’ll be tomorrow or Tuesday at open? Looking to snag a bar spot, but thinking it’ll be a shit show.

Little apples to oranges for lots of reasons here, but here was my past experience. When I went to pick up my bottle from the 2018 release my buddy and I arrived about 10 min before opening on the first day which, IIRC, was a Sunday. At opening a bunch of neck beard fat ass jerks ran past the hostess and started just taking tables and running to the bar. This was only a small amount though. Like normal adults we waited for the hostess to seat us. For the first hour or so there was plenty of seating. Bar filled up fairly quick. There was a pretty good wait by the time we left about 12:30. Lots of things have changed since then, but my guess is if you got there at opening you'll be okay, but who knows these days.

Not sure if you got a bottle or not, but they did say most winners chose VP for pick up, advised spreading out picking up and making a reservation.

Thanks for a comp of sorts. No solo reservations and the loser singles are shipped to bar seating only from what I’ve been told. Looks like reservations aren’t available at open for the early part of the week at VP.

Seems overall people digging it. 1x 3.5 (Claims the selected vintages and blend didn't mesh well). 1x 4.0. And the rest 4.5-5.0 (Chocolate marshmallow, barrel, delish). Can't get there myself until later in the week. Hope it doesn't kick on draft before then.
