Got 'Rrari and Lodestar. Pretty happy about it - anyone had both and have a preference? Heard good things bout Rrari.

    Nice pull.

Rrari > Loadstar for me. At least back in mid-March when we opened most of the 19 line. The coconut had completely faded in Loadstar and it was just super sweet.

Rewind to DLD and Loadstar was one of the first beers I had that day. It was very good fresh. I did not get to have 'Rrari that day.

I had Loadstar recently and was very disappointed. Way too sweet with nearly all coconut gone. The first time I had it was last August and it was much better - still didn’t have a crazy amount of coconut, but it also wasn’t so sweet. I also had ‘Rrari that night in August and it was amazing. I said it may have been the best DL variant I’d ever had.

I miss this thread already. Not much happening on the trade front either. People either got the good stuff or the second tier stuff and not much crossover for trades.

Don't give up hope just yet. The actual 2020 Dark Lord bottles are yet(?) to be released in some form or fashion. This thread will rise again.

I would agree. Trades in Midwest IP are just dead. Having more fun in here!

Does this mean people are actually drinking their rare beer for once???

I put strawberries in a toasted coconut yogurt and had it with my morning coffee. Made me think about 'Rrari. It wasn't the same.

Max Profit seems to be having a hard time moving beer on the secondhand market. The same ones that were listed two weeks ago are still there. I have trouble believing people are out there that are still willing to pay $400 for a Hanjee. ... And we learned the going rate for GTM is $60, based on comments a few pages ago

Yeah Handjees are like 250-300 now. Unless it is 2016 or prior.

Even beers that were going for $300ish last year like Rarri / Loadstar / Lounge etc.. are now down to $150ish.

It used to be pretty much any Dark Lord variant could pull like $150-200, but the less desirable ones now are sub $100. Often in the $60-80 range.

Seems like secondary is taking a downturn in general. Ohh well.

They'll go back up once they announce FFF is ceasing brewing and distilling operations to focus on It's Not Normal Hard Seltzer.

The market definitely exists, but in an alternate universe. mybeercollectables is a great source of laughs for me.

Where is this alternate universe? I only generically hear people reference "Facebook" like there is a beer for sale tab at the top. Of course, maybe there is, I didn't look.

I’m not allowed to put the web address but put .com after what I referenced in the previous post.

Facebook has cracked down on beer trading/selling online but there are still plenty of private groups where selling occurs, they're just not as massive as the ones they keep shutting down. For example, I'm in a whiskey group for WI where whiskey trading/selling occurs and it literally has the name of the huge old nationwide group as part of its name but it seems to survive despite the fact that the big group just kept getting shut down. I'm not sure if that big group still exists; I got tired of finding the new version and rejoining after the first few shutdowns.
