One of my favorite beers, so I must disagree. Funny rebuttal, though. Cheers!

That story is in no way weird.

Cheers on your varied purchase especially the Genny tall boy, I like mine in the brown paper sleeve personally. Now there's a great gimmick for a craft brewer making a session-type offering a tall boy in brown paper sleeve, sign me up! Haven't seen the WWS but definitely wanna try, I'm always interested in DFH other styles.

Dogfish Head's Liquor de Malt came in a 40 oz. bottle with a logo-stamped paper bag.

AHHH, I remember now...perhaps one part of my brain vaguely recalled this glorious little artifact from of course DFH, bravo! For the discerning hobo beer geek

What's up with everyone getting all up in arms about that video? It's a guy who bought a beer and downed it. You're telling me if most of you were at a tasting drunk with friends and someone wanted to chug a whole 120 min you wouldn't encourage it? Because I sure as hell would.

My roommate has a penchant for Olde English and likes to buy it in bulk for the case discount. I picked up some a variety of craft bombers and a case of OE for him. The cashier was definitely baffled at that one.

For me, I think when I bought my wife some Woodchuck and a woopie pie and for me I got Harpoon's Celtic Ale after I returned from getting an oil change done on my truck. Not only did I get a weird look from the gasoline station attendant for the weird purchases, but I didn't actually set out to get beer it was only supposed to be an oil change.

Eh, I did this sort of thing all the time in college. On a Friday night we would make a beer run to get drinking game 30 racks, and while I was there I would snag some stuff for my cellar, personal beer fridge, or to drink beforehand. A purchase of a 30 pack of keystone light, a 6 of alpha king and a bottle or 2 of bcbs would be pretty common. (god it is weird to say I just strolled in and bought those regularly).
In a college town the weird looks come only if you are buying expensive beers and not light beer as well.

Why are people so upset about the video of the guy chugging a 120? They were obviously craft beer drinkers by the way they were talking and I thought it was hilarious. 120 is a complete novelty beer to me anyways (I know others think differently), so I loved that they had some fun with it. I did the same thing with a Ghostface Killah at my bachelor party. Its beer people. It doesn't need to be drank in the perfect glass, at the perfect temp, and in the perfect setting every time.

Agreed. Although I got pissed watching these videos back when 120 kept getting drain poured at the brewery and I couldn't buy it, now that I can find it everywhere I find the videos hilarious.

I go to a bar in Smithtown NY called Tap n Barrel, when you buy a canned beer like dales or sixpoint, they'll open it and serve it in a little brown bag. Hystericall!

Very true, and I can think of a dozen beers I'd drink before a 120. It's the up until recently limited amount available on LI and my very low income that makes them special. It's something to get excited about from time to time. Like finding a beer that's not available at all in your area or someone bringing a growler from 200 miles away.
