I know I know, a little out of season. But a buddy of mine is getting engaged in the Denver area in a few weeks and I’m trying to get him a nice bomber or two. Unfortunately missed the weldwerks coffee coconut medianoche release. Anyone know of other quality releases on the horizon?

Not a stout but we should see Deschutes Black Butte XXXII shortly. And I did pick up a Bull and Bush The Legend Of The Liquid Brain at Molly's Lakeside last week.

I picked up a four pack of BB 32 yesterday at Molly's for about 17 bucks.

New Image just released Infinite Sequence: Canadian Coffee and it's incredible. 12.5% Imperial Stout with maple and coffee in four-packs? Hell yes.

I assume I’m in the minority, but I wish there were more adjunct non-coffee stouts. I love both coffee and stout, just not together.

If I could cram coffee into Pizza I would.

Sprinkling some Folgers on top could only help Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Little Caesar’s, Papa Johns and 1/2 of the local places we have.
But I’m getting us off topic here.

There should be a 2020 Liquid Brain this fall/winter, but you can still buy bottles from the last batch (2018, I think) at the B&B and Grapevine.

I think River North just did a Vanilla Sandman? I would just go straight there and see what they have. It does not get much better than Mr. Sandman, IMO.

I picked up an Epic BB pumpkin porter this week. That is usually one of my favorites.

Epic's new Baptist variants are hitting stores soon or you can snag 'em in the taproom right now. I tried the Pecan Pie one and thought it was great. The base beer shines through, but it still tastes like what it claims. It's tough to walk that line. Most tend to taste like dessert instead of beer (both places in Greeley), or you're left wondering why they even bothered (Great Divide).

Mexican yeti was probably the worst Mexican chocolate stout I have ever had. I'm unsure how they blew that since the chocolate yeti from back in the day was amazing.

I've bought almost all of their Yeti offshoots. For the last 5-6 years most of them simply "taste like Yeti." Vanilla, Chocolate Cherry, etc. I've even had them side by side with the original and they're only marginally different. I get that Yeti is a pretty bold beer to begin with, but it's not like they weren't able to do this in the past. The older variants deviated quite a bit. It's like they just don't know how much flavoring to add so they err on the side of almost none. I love normal Yeti...but if it doesn't taste different enough, what's the point? I will say that the pumpkin one breaks that mold, though. For what it is, it's fantastic. Like a massively kicked up Mountain Sun Dark Harvest.

It is bad. It tastes like a coffee stout more than anything. It sucks that all the oak aged yetis are MIA. OTOH, BA Yeti is fucking dynamite.

I'm liking Dry Dock's anniversary 25-15 imperial stout.

Pumpkin yeti was really good. I got one a couple months ago, but haven't seen it in a while.

Yeah, Grapevine should have large single cans of the last 2-3 Yeti variants.

Even though I love coconut, I usually find that in coconut stouts and porters either I can't detect any coconut, or the beer smells and tastes like suntan lotion. I usually like the ones where I get no coconut (like Maui coconut porter), but have trouble finishing beers like Death by Coconut.

That said, I'm all over Coconut Chocolate Barreled Treasure. I mean, Fuck Yeah!
