Pleasantly surprised by how good The Mandalorian is . . . I avoided it for a while until someone talked my ear off about it last week. Really solid.

 

must be something in the water in Santa Rosa ... seems impossible not to brew really good beers there.

It wasn't until I started drinking it fresh that I understood what Two Hearted could be. I'm still slightly partial to Pliny, but it doesn't surprise me that they're always vying for first place in that homebrewers' survey every year.

 

Apparently it’s IPA day, had Hidden Secret Cove by Hop Butcher, I know, I know, milkshake ipa, and I forgot to take a picture before it went out to the recycling... I’m the worst

 

So if it’s National IPA Day, I might as well drink one from @TheIPAHunter, right?

Another work week, another gas station beer in another hotel.

 

Maine Beer Company - Black Barn No.13 (Blonde Ale)

Absolutely exquisite hop profile. Saaz, Magnum, Citra, some HBC experimental varietal, and one other. The aroma on this is out-of-this-world complex, with lemon, orange, lime, strawberry, passionfruit, pine sap, fresh grass, and an intense floral bouquet that's almost perfumey. Bone-dry with a delicate malt profile. A bit hoppy for a traditional blonde, but probably the single mpst refreshing non-lager beer I can imagine. Absolutely perfect summer day thirst quencher. Never disappointed with my MBC friends.
