    Got my work cut out for me this weekend. Went by one of my favorite breweries Akademia Brewing Co. in Athens, GA. Grabbed these crowlers of two classics - German Helles and English ESB Pale Ale styles. Highly recommend this brewery if you find yourself in Athens, GA. Creature Comforts too! Cheers fellow BA'ers! I hope you're Feelin Alright like me!

    Curse Of Knowledge Organic Farmhouse Saison by Halcyon Barrel House, which as I mentioned a few days ago is a subsidiary of Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company. 5.8% ABV. IMO this is really a combo of Saison and Sour. Interesting and it works, at least for me. Cheers.

    This is not an IPA, but it features Nelson. It's hoppy. As a Philly native you could probably serve me a cheesesteak with Nelson whiz, and I would still love it. Peace...

    Late Friday lunch time for me.

    At Local Group Brewing in Houston. They have had a rough go of it since they first opened in March. First was the hole huge water pipe bursting in Houston thing, that put the entire city in a boil notice for at least a week. This was their first weekend open, and a lot of places had to close for that time, they did the best they could. Then only a about a month in they had to shut down because of covid of coarse. Their restaurant and tap room is finally open again, and glad to be able to support them. Lots of safety precautions, and only a handful of people here. Just around the block from Saint Arnold.

    So moving on the the beer, Edgeless IPA. 7% ABV

    Magic Flip, Dry Hopped Lager. 5.2% ABV

    Big greasy burger with fries, This is excellent.

    And Ale Of Skye Scottish Ale, 6.2% ABV

    All the beers are good, I've got notes on all them, and will be adding my reviews to the database soon. Probably for tomorrow's New Beer Weekend thread.

    Also finishing up Jim Harrison's Sundog. One of the few books from him I have yet to read until now, and it is amazing.

    Very, very pale straw yellow body; extremely fine and slow rising carbonation bubbles; thick and frothy white head, sticky. Strong grassy and herbal aroma; cereal grain scent. Mild bready flavor with a strong herbal and grassy hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp; slight cereal grain warmth; an edge of dryness to the mouthfeel overall.

    WeldWerks delivers a fine pilsner. Balanced with a gentle malt presence and prominent yet not overbearing hop bitterness and aroma presence.
