    When I think of music, I think of something I came across in one of Dr. Seuss' works that I read my children years ago:

    the sap in the cap
    threw her mask
    on the floor

    in protest, she
    wouldn't wear
    one anymore

    and besides, thought
    the sap, "this whole
    thing is a hoax!"

    Yesterday, I completed a two day challenge, stopping in and purchasing from all the Craft Aid breweries on Long Island's North Fork. Had started at Jamesport Farm Brewery, in fact hitting all 6 other breweries, finishing up at Eastern Front in Mattituck with a delightful Belgian Dark Ale. The folks at Moustache Brewing Co. graciously provided the bling. Had fun doing it.

    One of my acquisitions along the way was King Keltic from Long Ireland Brewing Co. (get it?!), an Imperial Red Ale. WWBBD (What would Brian Boru do)? Drink it, sans doute!

    Real good kick start still. I'm loosing some weight too myself. With a somewhat more steady approach to 16 pounds (one pound in one or two weeks).

    Next, Ekologisk (organic) Hazy IPA by Oppigårds, who never disappoint. In fact, their modern IPAs remind me a lot of one of my favorite breweries, Grimm.

    Oktoberfest tasting, day 2!

    Doing 6 per day. Have one more probably before the finals.

    Made sourdough soft pretzels and beer cheese, sausages and kraut for dinner.

    Drekker Chonk Sundae Sour Raspberry and White Chocolate, 6.2% ABV. Pours real thick chunky and hazy red with a one-finger pink head that left residue instead of lacing. Nose is raspberry, chocolate, and funk. Taste is lactose, chocolate, and strong raspberry, quite sweet with slight tartness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding. I like pastry sours.

    In Wisconsin, gas stations have a nozzle full 'a' 'da Spotted Cow, where yous can drink from, while yous 'r' puttin' in 'da gas.

    Marvelroast is marvelous. I find it hard to believe , by taste, that this beer is 8% ABV. A nice summer treat. Would love to have this on tap. Only wish I had some Johnsonville™ brats left.
