    Tonight's Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Mamas Little Yella Pils from Oskar Blues out of Texas, a deliciously honey flavored pilsner that is quite similar to
    2) Surly First Ave +1 Golden Ale, a delicious golden ale with nice honey and lemonflower flavors.
    3) Summit's Dakota Soul, in my opinion a world-class pilsner made with authentic North Dakota barley to give it a nice flowery flavor
    4) Molson Canadian Lager, a deliciously simple lager that is well-rounded and captures all the things you want in a lager.
    5) Bent Paddl'es Bent Hop Golden IPA, a sweeter IPA that has great berry and herbal flavors and quite juicy while maintaining a juicy flavor.
    6) Odell IPA from Colorado. Not much needs to be said about this one. A classic and balanced IPA that represents the best of the west-coast and mid-west IPAs. This one is worth coming back to.

Winner: Dakota Soul. Great barley and flowery flavors here. Really should pick this up if available. Odell IPA was a close second (hard to compare a lager and IPA) and probably beats most IPAs head-to-head.

Have a favorite of the bunch? Let me know!

I made it a WCIPA week. Sitting now in the backyard with a Kings & Convicts BP LLC Sculpin.

It's a West Coast IPA for sure, but not that bitter. Despite all the changes in ownership and facilities they seem to put out a consistent product. I guess Ballast Point beers will continue to come and go here, and I will have to grab them when I can.

When I was young I had a cold and the doctor told my mother to put some Vick's vapor rub on my chest. Instead, she ran me a hot bath and washed my hair with this. I was good as new in the morning.

After some changeable weather earlier, it's turned into a beautiful afternoon. I spent a couple of hours on the beach with Mrs. Mac. I'm not into the beach as much as I used to be but the water temp was pleasant. I'm now drinking Industrial Arts' Summer Landscape as we contemplate take-out for dinner. Cheers, all!

One: Is that the K & C version?

Two: If you had the OG, how does it compare?

    Three: Cheers!

@mschrei, I ventured outside to join the west coast IPA thread, because I drank my recent Pliny the Elder haul. This is Green 19 IPA by Titletown Brewing, in Green Bay, WI. I rocked a Pliny the Elder at the Raiders game at Lambeau Field, last October, and needless to say, the Raiders fans from California that I talked to did not perceive any local threats to Pliny the Elder's championship belt.

We’re drinking a beer called “IPA”. I believe it’s an IPA.

We love this beer! Another IPA called “Insane Wanderer” from the same brewery is on deck. Cheers!

Weldwerks Starry Noche Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. Brewery’s description: Crafted to celebrate our 5th Anniversary, Starry Noche started as a carefully selected blend of Medianoche batches aged for 18-22 months in freshly emptied 7-12 year-old bourbon barrels. After nearly two years in barrels, the blend was conditioned on more than 3 lbs/gallon of toasted coconut flakes and raw coconut chips, then finished with toasted hazelnut.

Popping those :whale: today. This is literal liquid Almond Joy. All the coconut and milk chocolate. Nice barrel presence after 2 years bringing vanilla, drying oak, and very smooth bourbon. Lives up to the hype. Insane!

I never had the OG version which I think was called “Northwave”?
This one is comparable to San Diego brewed BP and the Constellation Brands brewed product.

The OG was called Northstar. Also, the SD OG and Constellation are worlds apart. I hope what you're having is glorious. I want to try it at some point.

    Cheers!!!
