Shows how different palates can be and this beer didn't wow me at all. I would drink again if handed one but I am glad that I only got a single.

Or it could be that I was just so desperate to go there after all this time. Because I'm not a huge fan of Oktoberfest beers

Somebody on SA's FB page described it as pumpkin rinds soaked in dish soap

Boston Ale was good, was first hoppy beer I ever had. And damn, that black lager was awesome!!! They also put out a great “Imperial Pilsner” maybe 10 or so years ago that was great. Stuff now is just kind of goofy.

They've ruined their seasonal packs. I did buy a few Winter packs with fezziwig, porter, chocolate bock, and Winter lager last year, despite the 76s. Other than that, I've passed on every other for more than a year. I've wondered what their sales are like since they made the changes they have. Also asked about Sierra Nevada's hoppy pack sales versus their seasonal packs and don't think I got an answer. I'd truly like to know if people bought kosmic sour, 76, oktoberfest, and BL last year????

Once SA went from six beers to four in these packs it went downhill quickly. I used to really enjoy their seasonal packs and it was fun trying the new beers.

I can't imagine that these packs are big sellers and in my area they don't seem to move much at all anymore.

I will buy their Oktoberfest because it's accessible and tasty...but that fall pack is disappointing. I buy the winter classic pack for Fezziwig and Holiday Porter and the others are "already drunk" beers...

I typically buy the fall pack every year, but this lineup isn't impressing me.

Samuel Adams releases a lot of beer styles; I only wish I could find their Boston Ale for a change. I haven't seen it in years.

I don't understand all the hate on 76'. I have always enjoyed this one! It's a hoppy lager to me and quite tasty! IMO. ;-)

Agree, Sam 76 is a solid beach beer, I really dig it for that use. Maybe fact it’s in sampler pisses people off. I wish all samplers contained unique offerings...ehhh hehehehehem...Sierra...

Inclusion in the samplers is exactly why I dislike it. I couldn't care less if they sell it as a stand alone. But when they include it in a seasonal sampler with 4 beers and that sampler also has Boston Lager, it becomes a hard pass quick. Especially when the only other beer besides Oktoberfest was Kosmic Sour last year and now a really poorly done pumpkin beer this year.
