Love the Cellar Anniversary. It’s sad that with each year we lose the older Candles. 1, 2, and 3 Candles were some of my favorite stouts ever. RIP old Candles, haha

 

3 Candles for Prez

 

i can remember the first time i had 3 Candles. wasn’t at an anniversary party. was a random weeknight at the cellar and including my buddy and me, there was probably 6 people total there that night. sadly, those days are long gone.

 

Looking forward to mid September

 

As straightforward as Whose Line Is It Anyway, no way to track points and cashiers do not input name correctly or at all at least half of the time; then you can try to send an email but there is once again no tracking.
Ex: People who did not purchase any Merci b4 received an allocation of multiple Merci Framboise while people who had receipts showing 12+ Merci b4 purchased did not receive Merci Framboise.

Yeah, I’m always pretty surprised when I read all the love for TWCP. I used to go every week and never got allotted anything.
The final straw was the 35 years release: they had a “second chance” contest for anybody who wasn’t allotted bottles, where if you were chosen you got two bottles. So I win, get the email saying my order’s ready for pick up and go. I get there and my name isn’t on the list and they didn’t even get the bottles yet. I had to show them the winning email, they gave me somebody else’s from the original winners, and told me everybody at this store is only getting 1.


They’re also one of the only places in the area that sells shippers, but act like it’s a huge hassle when you ask for one.

Sounds like most of these TWCP Derivations are probably just going to get flipped since they’re going to random people.

Personally, I’ve never had an issue, but always remind the cashier about making sure I get the points and double check my name is on the receipt. I can understand them not telling people where they stand points wise as it would take a lot of time with all the requests, and an online tracking/account system could be costly. I do get a fair amount of allocated items, and miss out on some too. With the exception of brewery direct purchases or the random six pack at the grocery store, this is the only place I buy alcohol from locally-not to mention cheese/candy/other goodies. I don’t go chasing allocated items at other stores and it feels good to know my loyalty is appreciated.

@Heisenbrew when you mention the shippers, are you referring to buying them from the rock hill location?

 

Yes. I know they’re usually the only location that has them.

 

I get where you are coming from, the manager at rock hill is a douche, and it’s the only location I won’t go to. When I need a shipper I get one transferred to Forsyth or ballas

Why would they make it difficult to purchase a shipper?

 

The manager at that location just isn’t a people person. When you ask for a shipper he’ll make a snotty remark like “you know it’s illegal to ship alcohol.” He’ll give the same attitude if you ask about help with a wine or whatever as well. Not sure what the dude’s deal is. Like I said, I have shippers transferred to the other stores where everyone is cool and inviting

 

Wtf? Then why do they sell them then? Haha.

 

Do you then mention to him...."It's unfortunate that it's not illegal for you to be an arsehole"
