Really looking forward to the Reserve. I know they had some issues, but they pulled out of MN a few years ago & I for one would like to see them back.
Last year's PB was rather disappointing and one of them was infected, but I am excited for the return of Baptista.
The Pecan Pie one interests me. I can see that one being either awesome or boring depending on how strong those flavors are.
Are you referring to the Peanut Butter Cup? I was very excited for that one but thought it was definitely 'off' when I tried it out of the bottle. Hazelnut and Chocolate were both good, the Reserve was REALLY good, and the 5-barrel was pretty hot IMO. Bottom line: I'll fork over the $$ to try all of these.
Excited for Baptista, as well. I just really wish they wouldn't have messed with the recipe. I would prefer plain old Baptista, non-barrel aged. Using smoked malt can go really bad, really quickly.
You ain't wrong in the least about smoked malt, but Baptista has always been barrel-aged as far as I know. This is a bold statement...
