Curious what it takes to get a bottle of Everett? Would some locals and/or a Dark Lord get it done or are we talking something else?
    Thanks!!!

Don’t know if you’ve actually tried posting it, but I’d imagine that’d close instanteously. Should be asking for a plus nearly to the tune of a second Tete (assuming you aren’t talking about b1, which WFP would be 1:1 with if you factor in “bourbon tax”).

No idea on values so how far off is BA Snowball + Mornin Delight 2020 for ORVW?

I would guess the beer side on this would need a pretty significant plus...assume Snowball is 200 and MD 100...ORVW close to 500...

FYI, Everett bottles haven’t been around for a long time as far as I could tell in my looking. Last time it was available, it was for growlers, February 2020.

Knowing that, even if someone had an old bottle, I’d pass unless you really want to tick it. It’s an outstanding porter, but I think it should be drank as fresh as possible.

I don’t think it should take much to get it. When it has been available it’s had pretty good limits from what I recall.

I just wish it was released more often. I miss it. Good luck!

    Thanks for the feedback!!
I follow Hill Farmstead on another site and haven't seen it posted. I wasnt sure if it was a beer that is always available or like you said hasn't been around for awhile..
I've had it once before at a dark lord day and wanted to revisit it.
    Thanks again

This seems like a good offer for BBT3 and would definitely start a conversation. The question is whether you are sure you want to take a chance on a BBT3 at this point. BBT1 seems like a safer option as there have been no counterfeit bottles that I have heard of the 2017 vintage. It's just as thick, just as good, and you can probably get one with 2 of your bottles. I have had all of the BBTs multiple times and can tell you the differences in value seem arbitrary to me; all of them are world class. Good luck!

I'm not very familiar with values of these, since I've been out of trading for awhile. What is the relative value of BBT B1?

Again, the value does not reflect the quality IMO.

    BBT3 ~ 2 Assassin
    BBT2 ~ 3 Assassin
    BBT1 ~ 1.5 Assassin

Sorry for not using standard VRU, but VR is all over the place now.

Trade value has been b2 > b3 > b1.... with b1 needing a sizable plus to get b2. Just don't ask me about secondary!

Thanks, both of you. I've been out of the game so long - and don't know the relative value of the new assassin's (and, historically, each assassin had a pretty dramatically different value) that this is helpful, but I think I'll need to do a bit more research. When I last saw BBT B3 tradiing before I really started to fall off the BA bandwagon, that was December, and B2 was going for what seemed like something comparable to Lot B + VR. B3 was maybe around a Lot B. And B1 was like a VR and a half.

Is that still what I'm hearing, or did I just say nothing at all?

I don't know anything about whiskey. It seems like we are tiptoeing around the trade value with different items. I feel like the trading value thread needs to adopt a new value unit.

I agree. About the only thing I know the value of is whiskey, because that's pretty simple to find in a few ways. Beer changes so much more frequently. If whiskey has a market value, beer has floating values based on a rough "demand schedule," which rotates as hype increases/decreases and other beers increase/decrease. It's a bit maddening, because unlike whiskey, not "every beer" is always available. You look at whiskey, though, and other than vintages, bottles are always available. That's why there's more consistency there. It's just easy - year over year, annual release, with limited differences in annual demand for a specific whiskey.

Just to add to this: part of my question stems from the fact that I was always pretty surprised that B1 was going for "so little." People would talk about the other batches as if they were night and day ahead of B1, as if B1 was BCBS and B2/B3 were SP. (That's perhaps not the best example, but there is a marked difference between the two, even if BCBS is one of the best examples of what a BA stout should be.)

Given the comment that the separation in quality is minimal, I was even more surprised by the general disregard for B1. Made me wonder just how "easy" a B1 is to obtain today, given how "easy" it appeared in December.

I don't feel like the value on BBT b1 has changed that much from December. Just my review but I definitely prefer b2 & b3 to b1. Slightly prefer b2 personally, but not at the premium between b2 & b3..

Would an Anchorage Blessed be about even with a Bottle Logic The Fall of Umibozu? Not sure how Blessed is trading having been on Tavour and all that, however, the high price and high quality of it might make up for the easy access?
    Cheers and thanks in advance.

If only there wa$ $ome widely under$tood unit of value, that didn't change dra$tically over time due to factor$ like whether Goo$e I$land was having a fire$ale or whether vanilla wa$ fading, and could help u$ to under$tand what people generally value a beer at at any given time...

(when people allude to "VRU" they are already alluding to "dollars" anyway, just in a more oblique way and now even less accurately... it's very, very dumb that this thread can't get on board with a more accurate trade value measurement (keeping in mind that trading of course does not always exactly equal "sale/razzle/whatever" values) just because of weird hangups)

There’s no way I’m cutting an assassin bottle in half for anyone.
