I just picked this up the other day hoping for the best. Good to hear it's up to snuff. It seems the special release stuff has turned out far better than their seasonals this year.

Now I just need to find a time to order and pick up Melrose. Work schedule is making that difficult.

Did you drink your Timbo with Iron Maiden at 11:58pm?

Way before midnight for sure. Before that was a trip back in time. Lol.

So it wasn't two minutes to midnight?

I was out and probably snoring at midnight. Or taking an ol man wizzard 2 minutes after midnight.

I think this batch of Hello is one of their best yet. I like it better than Competition: it has tons of that glorious mosaic pineapple goodness but also that simcoe dankenness... just wonderful all around. It's like a Timbo on steroids.

I take back all the disparaging comments I made earlier about blind pig being pedestrian. I picked up some along with some Pliny for my dad when he was visiting, the Pliny is about 10 days old but the pig is almost 10 weeks old. Gawt dayum its a tasty WC IPA. I will have no problem reserving the Plinys for pops

I've had bad luck with it. But I trust your judgment so I'll grab it next time I see it.

There is no expiration date on forgiveness. At least you have seen the light. May your Russian River hauls be plentiful.

I will say that I know the place I got it from keeps everything refrigerated, and that it's the subtlety of the whole package that really shined to me tonight.

I posted elsewhere about feeling like Founder's mosaic promise was the best IPA I'd had this year. That really applies to the modern aroma hop heavy westies, but as far as the classic WC IPA, blind pig is really no slouch

I feel blessed because the Pliny I ordered blind was bottled 08/06/20. The gods of Russian River hath shown me the righteous path, and I shan't be blaspheming their hoppy name again :fearful::innocent::tired_face:

Edit to add: I'm drinking some stash panda from hop union and I feel like I need to call Vinny and confess my sins. I must've been way drunker than I thought when I tried this the first time this summer. I also wish my mom had been more into them

Grabbed a tallboy of Modern Times Virtual Futures while meandering at my local Albertson's. Not bad! Nothing mindblowing but it's got a good hop bill and scratches an itch I didn't think I had when walking into the store

Stones 24th Aniversary is pretty tasty. A bit malty, but I like that.

My first Stone and bomber in over a year last night. Split with my Bro-in-law. I was pleasantly surprised on the taste. Maybe it’s my palate not having any Stone in my diet (except for maybe an Enjoy By over a year ago). I may buy a 6pk can and split it with my bro-in-law.

Agreed, I was particularly blown away by their recent newer release Smooth Deep Blue, I think it is way under rated on Untapped.

Finally had a day to get my order from the HB taproom. I think I ordered on Thursday or Friday and got it today. Very much looking forward to cracking one of those Melroses open later as it's one I routinely miss when I go to the taproom or order online.

Heretic just showed up on our shelves and I picked up their California dry hopped IPA. Its a nice modern westie for sure. Balanced and round with a good bitter finish. Not a mind blower but certainly a nice clean example of the best beer style.out there
