Drinking a Rivertown Roebling Imperial Robust Porter. This is after a couple of Narwhals. I'm tempted to edit my review to mention how much I think the Roebling now tastes like a chocolate chip cookie.

Really good! The initial hopiness has dropped off just slightly, but still extremely enjoyable!

Not sure if anyone else has cracked one of theirs or not yet. Maybe my old age is effecting my memory, or maybe I've just had way too many good beers the past couple of years, but this didn't blow me away the way I remember it did back when.

Don't get me wrong, not saying it's not good (finished nearly the whole thing myself), but this one didn't make me go "woah."

I'll be going all the way back to 2006 on this one in the coming weeks, so I'll let you know how it stacks up to the other 6 releases, but this one is still TBD.

    Cheers!

Great music selection! Saw them open for Dylan a few years back when they were touring. Jack White is a madman!

My dads reaction to me pouring this was 'beer in a wine glass!?!?' Then i convinced him to taste it (hes a miller lite guy, has never liked a craft brew ive brought home), he asked for his own glass!

Like!! That sounds like a stellar show.

I've only seen them once back in '07 (I think?) but it was a fuckin' awesome show - at least 50% of the band was bleeding by the end of the night which is always a good sign.

Well... This is a bit of a change up after having a Heady right before this one. Still good, but my pallet is a tad wrecked. Also, I am thoroughly enjoying the "The Thread Nuke" thread... It's very good indeed.

Started with an Oud Beersel Framboise, then RR Damnation, ending the night with a few fresh Surly Abrasives. Life...Is...Perfect....

Bottled tonight. Had to use Pellet simcoe to dry hop, so I used my old grain bag over my siphon. Never done this, because I usually use all whole hops, but dear god, the clearest beer ever came out of the secondary
    [IMG]

Had a bit of a crisis because I forgot to buy more caps. I only had 44, so I bottled 42 and 2 Bombers, and then poured myself a tall glass of the remainder which was basically a whole glass  . Huge peach, pineapple, mango, pine, grapefruit, citrus pith. Was pretty dry for not being carbonated, so my water was probably good. Itll turn out after carbing. For being the "clone" of head hunter, its pretty damn close.

    Then:

This was really good. The aromas were spot on to style, flavor was a bit lacking in robustness, but this is a really nice style example.

This guy is a year old now. Fucking delicious. Definitely got more of that nutty bread quality from English pale malt.
