    I need some BA help.
I was at NIU 92-97. I drank way too much during college.
There was a brewery in DeKalb, IL.
The internet has been no help to me.
I am trying to find the name of it.

    Anyone remember the name?

I went to UW-Whitewater, just over the Wisconsin border, in the same era, and all the FIBs I knew drank Busch Light exclusively. I remembered giving a Sam Adams to my pledge brother from Rockford, IL, and he thought that I tried to poison him.

Very sad jello ribs were/are served beyond Chicago city limits.

The most popular item on the menu, Rybinski said, is the barbecued ribs ($6.95 a half-slab on Tuesdays, other days $10.95). "Last year we sold more than 5,000 plates of ribs," he said. "The meat falls off the bone, and we have a sweet rather than tangy sauce."

There is no excuse for jello-ribs. Do not order ribs in Chicago, or anywhere in Illinois, unless you see a smoker and confirm the cook knows what the hell he is doing. Otherwise, run as fast as you can if anyone ever tries to serve you boiled and baked jello ribs, doused with ketchup to top off the atrocity.

This made me laugh. Grilling ribs is tough, and we only ever had a really cheep grill growing up. So, whenever we had ribs (ESPECIALLY if they were the overly tough beef ribs), they were always promptly boiled, then finished on the grill. With Kraft BBQ and/or a mix of Kraft, McDonalds, Arby Sauce, And any other fast-food sauce that might be around (my mother hoarded it all).

My dad was a Boil, Open (S)Pit Sauce, Oven bake guy....they were brutal, but that is all I knew.
Thank God I learned the correct way to smoke, cook ribs.

Could you give us less information?*

*I'm sorry, it would be impossible to give us less information, dumb question. Instead, maybe tell us the name of the brewery?!

If it was within walking distance, I'm guessing he would have never been there.

But if he had to drive, then I'm guessing he's crashed the place before.
