Yeah, but it doesn’t replace Supermassive, not sure if I’ll be able to go back to regular :stuck_out_tongue:

What if it's the no longer available old school BW from Goose? Previous BCS barrels filled with Straight Jacket that's been sitting for 2+ years. That's a collab I could get down with.

You’ve just started something inside me that only my wife or the release of this beer can stop.

VSOG: Very Special Old Goose. How does that sound? OG referencing the OG BCS barleywine as well.

I like it. I'd also be a fan of VSOSG - Very Special Old Straight Goose - an homage to both straight jacket, to OG, and to Straight as in, straight up barrel aging (i.e. no additivies/adjuncts, choose your term).

Made it to almost all the releases at the taproom last year, and will certainly miss that this year, especially the one off variants. I don't see how the brewpub can support that many people for a release but I'll remain hopeful that it all runs smoothly. Then again it appears we have been spoiled over the past few years. Excited the most for Apple Brandy Ryeway

Pretty excited for Deep Woods season(s?). I think I can speak for everyone when I say, we've missed your awesome contributions to this website @BeerCruncher . Always appreciate you taking the time to talk us through everything DW related!

@BeerCruncher Any insight in the difference in ABV between regular Ryeway and AB Ryeway? Doesn't seem like there are any adjuncts in AB Ryeway that would lower the ABV by nearly 3%.

Super cool shit going on in the Brewpub right now.

I picked up a crowler of Deth By Berries...and realized I had never heard of such a beer.

Turns out it was a "contender" in 2018 for that year's fruited Deth By... variant. I have to assume there isn't much of this in the world. Currants wound up winning.

    https://www.facebook.com/events/774035569446755/

Wondering if the voters made the right choice? There's also crowler's of VO Deth By Currants, that year's winner but aged for 2 years in Woodford Reserve barrels.

Oh and there's some super limited Ryeway variant on deck, that I can only assume is as limited as a Faberge egg.

Oh and you can order a 2013 Deth's Star to see where this whole program started out.

Oh and if you live close enough Grubhub will deliver this shit to your house.

So yeah, while this summer is "unprecedented times" like every commercial reminds us, it's also a nice summer to be a Revolution Deep Woods fan in Chicago.

I can prove it's not his account...I think Revolution's IPA's suck. Like, every one I've ever had.

Hey...yall. So, apparently I posted a Meme (that has, rightfully so, been deleted). Admittedly, I didn't know who the person was. It's just been pointed out to me. I'm not normally someone to make these type of posts, but I err'd big time, and I should definitely NOT post meme's involving people that I know nothing about. Big apologies.

Crossing my fingers on that "limited distro" for Deth by Cherries. Pretty sure I've found some of the limited distro ones up here in Mke in years past. Never got to have Cherries last time and I seem to have an uncommon affinity for fruit stouts so that needs to change this go around. Deth by Currants blew me away, one of my all time faves of all the beers I've had in the whole series so far.

Currents is by far one of my favorite variants (that doesn’t have Cafe in the name). Cherries is very good, but a slight step down imo. I’m really looking forward to having it again however.
